Here is a bummer for me. I'm not sure I can come now.

Our trip was originally planned for Fri-Fri (starting March 6th). We are trying to get my boys into a new school for the Fall, and their only Open House for Kindergartners is Sat, May 7th. We were able to move our vacation to Sat-Sat now, but by the time we leave the Open House, drive to Disney go to the WWS Expo to pick up my items before they close, and check into WL. I'm not sure I can get to the DIS meet by 5pm.

For those of you staying to actually eat.... how long do you see yourselves there? This was really important to me, to meet you guys, we've been talking on these boards for months.

Wish me luck. I am still going to try to get there. I'm not sure I would have the guts to walk up to any of you the day of the race....

Ok, take a deep breath! For our Jan Pop meets some people hang around for a couple of hours, I usually do because we stay at Pop and it is a short walk back to our room. I probably won't hang around as long this time since I'll have to get back to ASMo, but I can't really say now for sure.

If you can't make it - please, please, please come up to any WISHer you see race morning and introduce yourself!! Even though we haven't met we are a team and that is enough! It is going to be especially important to support each other during the race because unlike Jan when there are the full people out on the course during the half to cheer, pretty much every WISHer will actually be participating in the half, so our scream team will not be as active as in January (boy, that was a convoluted sentence - I hope you understand what I was trying to say!!).

Anyway, don't worry if you don't have any "official" WISH apparel - just call out Go WISH, or Hey WISHer when you see someone who does!

Also, as a brief side note - one thing the WISH team prides itself on is its willingness to cheer for everyone, not just WISHers. When you are slow like me you have a chance to talk to fellow racers (realize that some people, especially the competitive fast people might not like to talk during an event). I've struck up conversations with all kinds of people along the way. Sometimes it is just a brief - hey, you're doing great and sometimes it is longer. Anne (maherae) and I started talking to someone in Philly at about mile 2 and walked the entire rest of the way with her. And, amazingly we saw her again in San Antonio!! It's a Small World After All! So please, don't hesitate to say HI!!
