Anything new here?

did anyone get them?
when are they supposed to come out?
are they full planners or are they just point charts?

Nothing here. Waiting. Maybe it's going to be some sort of binder with refillable pages. By the time they get here, we'll be about 7 months away from booking 2011!

Bobbi:goodvibes

I think the new planner should be for 2010 and 2011 - half of 09 is over, lol.

I agree. I am NOT happy about these big delays that seem to get bigger every year with those planners. When we first became members, we had a ring binder. They just sent out replacement PAGES each year instead of complete books. I really wish they would go back to that! It seems to me it would be less costly and maybe then they could actually get them out in time to be used!

According to DVC News:
"Due to a number of program changes implemented at the end of 2008 (point reallocation, RCI) Disney Vacation Club is quite late in issuing the 2009-2010 vacation planners to its members. However there is light at the end of the tunnel.

The 2009-10 planners should be in all members' hands by the end of May 2009. Due to staggered shipping schedules and varying transport time, it will take several weeks for all members to receive this year's mailer. But rest assured the planners will begin shipping very soon and all members should receive them within the next 45 days."

You can bet we don't dare be that late with our dues payments, so why should we accept this from them??? I think it's time to call quality assurance and give them my opinion about going back to the sheets instead of the books.

Maybe we should have the current President of DVC step down and see if there is any bailout funds to be used to get the job done. It seems to be the trend these days.

It is not the slowness of getting the vacation planners out that concerns me (although I don't think Walt would be pleased at how this whole affair is being ran). What concerns me is the speed in which they are making decisions.

I believe there are a whole set of Vacation Planners that have been printed and thrown away. The idea of changing points for 1010 may have come very quickly and thrown together at the last minute, not in time to stop the press for the hypothetical "other" planners that we should have received last November! Granted, I can't prove this. But, if they were truly expecting the point changes in due fashion, we should have had our planners by now. My opinion: They should have waited for the point change until 2011. This would have given all of us plenty of time to prepare, including them!!!!

In the real world, someone would have lost their job for this.

I think they owe us a sincere apology. (I.e. Free Annual Passes :lmao:)

"Due to a bunch of decisions that DVC management and not the members made, which would only be an issue if we had rushed into them with very little forthought, the overall experience of your product is going to be a little less this year. However, your dues, on the other hand will be slightly higher."

ETA:Seriously Disney Cruise Line announced the names of their new ships in March. The new Passporter is on the shelf with the names in it. These things are all digital. How long would it take DVC to update the points charts of their resorts in the planners? An hour? The info is in some form on the DVC website already.
