2009 mugs different?

I am so hoping they come out with new mugs for 2009....

We live in the North East and the mugs that we've collected from 2007 & 2008 remind me of snow! brrr!!

any reports yet?

According to what a Cast Member once told me the Resort counter service locations can not sell a new mug design until they have sold out of the ones that they are currently selling. So that would mean the Year of a Million Dreams are still being sold until they sell out.

I'm curious about this too. I miss the ones that are resort specific. We're on our way to AKL in a few days and I've been using my Mara mug for the last several weeks because I'm so excited!

Hopefully someone who is there now will report back soon.

I always thought they looked "wintery" too!

I hope they change them this year, I don't want three sets of almost identical mugs!

I so hope they return to the resort specific mugs. The generic mugs are very uninspiring. And I would actually buy the resort specific mugs. Now we just bring the generic ones on each trip.

when they went to the yoamd mugs.....they were still selling the port orleans mugs...middle of our week there they changed over to the yoamd mugs...
SO probably something like that will happen.....one day they are there and then another day they are changed..

CSR had its own mugs and not YOAMD.

I am looking forward to hopefully cheerful mugs with lots of colorful Mickey balloons as seen in the new Celebration banners that are hanging at Disneyland.

One of my favorite mugs (from our huge collection) was from the Beach Club. It had Mickey,Minne & pluto playing in the sand.. Loved it

I'm willing to bet that they'll not go back to resort specific mugs. It's less expensive for them to order just 1 style of mugs for all of the resorts. I am looking forward to seeing the 2009 Celebration mugs and hope that they are nice and bright!

I hope the new ones are out in 22 days. I want new ones. I already have the other years including 2008 and now I want 2009. Wow I sound like a spoiled brat but I am not one I just want a new brighter mug. I love buying the new mugs every year but it would be nice if they were different.

No info on the changes but had to share a funny mug story...

We got the mugs at WL in November. I was very concerned that we didn't mix ours up as we were both recovering from strep and didn't want to re-infect each other (as we have done before.) So I made sure that I wrote an initial on mine and was very careful to check each time we filled, carried, moved, etc. So fast forward home, unpacking, getting ready to put the mugs in the dishwasher when I realized.....

They had 2 different color lids. One blue, one grey.

Sigh.

when I was reading this i was thinking you must have a very large family for everyone to have used their own color, twice. I think they had 3 or 4 colors to choose from
