We just returned from visiting Hilton Head during Christmas week and I have lots of pictures to post. I will be put a couple on today and will add more soon. We have been driving for the past 2 days so I am really tired and need to hit the hay.

We had an excellent time and I will share about my experience. This first photo expressed how I feel at the moment. I took the picture at a Shelter Cove shop.

We were really lucky when we first arrived on December 27th. It was about 2:00pm and B'lou and Shadow just arrived to hang out by the elevator on the 1st floor. Right after we checked in at the front desk we were able to say hi to B'lou and take a picture with Shadow. Shadow can be very hard to spot so seeing him right away was a treat. We never saw him the rest of the trip.

Take care! I will post more pictures later.

I'm looking forward to seeing more pictures and hearing about your trip. I'm glad you made it home safely, enjoy a well deserved good night's sleep. DH and I travelled over the holidays and he put on 2500 miles on our 8 day car rental. I figure that he put in a good 40 hour work week behind the wheel!

Best wishes for a happy New Year!

Glad you are home safe and sound!

Looking forward to your report as we are considering HH for Christmas next year.

Just LOVE the photo with Shadow. We have two golden retrievers so we are partial to the breed. How wonderful you saw Shadow:wizard:

Can't wait to see the pictures from my favorite place. Must have been a wonderful Christmas.

The weather was on the cold side, in the low 50's, but we still had lots of fun. It was nice just to hang out and walk around the resort. Even though it was cold we still enjoyed the outdoors very much. We took time to take some extra pictures and just enjoyed being with the family.

We went biking around the resort and took a bike trip to the beach which was fun. The resort has a path that goes under the main road and takes you right to Palmento Dunes where the beach house is located. The only thing I don't like about the bike path is that you have to travel with the car traffic much of the way in Palmento Dunes that makes it uncomfortably unsafe. I like the Sea Pines bike trails so much more because the bikes have a dedicated trail away from the car traffic.

I will share more in a little bit.

More More Please :cool1::cool1:

We are thinking of going to HH next year also. Maybe for Christmas and days after of maybe just after. Haven't decided. Need to play with next years points :rotfl::rotfl:

We've been to HH a couple of times and really enjoy the resort.

Thanks for taking the time to share.

Thank you for posting the beautiful pictures and trip report. Glad you had such a nice vacation-HHI really is special.

One of the fun things to do at HH is go fishing. There are plenty of spots to choose from just be careful not to hook a luxury cruiser. The owners will probably not be happy and I am sure they have excellent lawyers. We didn't catch anything but we did see many people fishing on their kayaks and we saw one fisherman pull a fish out of the water as we were biking by. The hot spot seems to be just right of the bridge as you pull into the resort. We saw some peddle kayaks that were really nice. The people were able to navigate their kayaks with their feet and have their hands free to fish.

On of the thinks that I found so funny was the fact that the shore fisherman were casting to the center and reeling in while the kayak fisherman were casting to the shore and reeling to the center. We were doing the same thing just in reverse order.

One of the activities we planned was a trip to Savanna. Originally we planned on taking a tour but instead we picked up a tour map and drove the route ourselves. This was better because we were on our own schedule and saved a few dollars. We spend just over one dollar on parking and saw everything we wanted to see. My wife and I had a great time. Here are some pictures we took including a picture of the smallest house I have ever seen. The house was for sale and I would love to know how much they were asking just for the fun of it.

it.

Have a great time! We are going down in June again for a week. It is so nice to have something special to look forward to.
:thumbsup2

I really think I saw you guys, your wife looks familiar... When did you check out?

I'm working on putting them into photobucket, but if you were around on New Year's Day, think Virginia Tech. Dh is a BIG guy, have 2 girls, youngest was probably the youngest at the party around the pool, they both went to their age appropriate NYE parties....
