2009 dining plan brochures

to me the CS ddp isnt that much value, even disney say its only a 20% saving.
With universal/seworld/busch and aquatica, all offering all you can eat for the day,at around $26
Think disney should have gone for much the same

Thanks for the links! It'll just be me & DD next summer (DH wants to do house projects), so we're trying the deluxe plan for the first time! I'm excited - can't wait!

I agree, I was thinking this too.

FYI: Typo on the Quick Service brochure -- 2nd page says "Valid for Arrivals 1/11/09 - 12/31/09. Should be 1/1/09.

This is not a typo. It is valid for arrivals as of 1/11, not 1/1.

And the Junior designation applies to the resort room only. Dining and tickets for people in that age range are in the 10 and over pricing category.

Regarding gratuities:
We were a group of 12 this summer and the gratuity added was based on the cost of the food we ordered, not the cost of the dining plan.

I assumed it was a typo since the other two plans state 1/1/09 and only this one states 1/11/09. My apologies.

It was mentioned on this board by someone who says they are a dining CM that the start date was 1/11.

It seems like all the good places are gone from the plan at these two locations. Is there a chance they will bring them back? Is Goofy Candy Co. still available for snake credits? What about the bakery in France, thought that was a Disney place? I understand that not all the places were Disney owned like Mexico, Italy, and Japan but seriously.

None of those places are Disney owned. If there is a restaurant on the 2008 list that is not now on the 2009 list, that is because it is a non-Disney-owned restaurant or counter service. Those restaurants will probably appear on the list after their contracts are finalized. This happens every year.

As for Goofy's Candy Co, they never did list snack places on the brochures.

I am really surprised that they didnt give the option for appetizer or dessert. They could of even had different pricing structure for this. I do the dining plan but never get dessert myself. The server always says " well desserts free on the dining plan so you should get it anyways" My response is that technically I paided for it in advance. I would like to just have this option. I am sure that people that have diabetes would like this as well.

Disney is apparently continuing with the notion that faster table turnover is more valuable to its business than offering dining plan customers a choice between appetizer and dessert. You can still get both the appetizer and dessert on the deluxe plan.

Thanks for the reply, that is what I figured. This trip (our honeymoon) will be my first with the dining plan. The only restaurant I am upset over really is Earl of Sandwich and Morocco counter service. We had a talk and decided to do lunch at Le Cellar instead of Morocco and dinner at Beirgarten rather then Mexico. I am glad about Goofy's that scared me, so I guess if snacks aren't listed then I don't have to worry about the France Bakery or Aloha Isle :yay: the world would end if I couldn't use one of my snack credits for Dole Whip:rotfl:

Thx NDAmomx2- I am wondering... We would definitely be paying a bit - I like to tip based on service I used to train restaurant employees & my DH has been a district manager of restraunts for over 13 yrs- I definitely recognize good service but I hate when they make us tip according to party size and then we get poor service- & I pay handsomely for great service & attention so I also feel it shorts the server who has performed well- I will not add to tips when they are prearranged- regardless- I need to think af a nice "thank-You" for our servers if they are extremely "magical"- Hmm that will be another shopping trip- & another disboard subject...
