2009-2010 Fort Wilderness Rate Calculator

Bump, cause it was asked about in another thread.

Thanks! It was me, and I found it. :thumbsup2

One question, though - when I downloaded it, it didn't have anything about the carts. I'm definitely thinking about renting from Kenny and I'd love to not do that math. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks again for such a cool spreadsheet, Shan-Man!

Leslie

Hmmm... let me take a look. Back in a minute!

I just downloaded it, and the one posted has the Tee-Time calculator (bottom left). Just put a number in the "Cart Days" field and the whole sheet will be updated. I put a separate field since some (most?) people will not rent a cart for the full stay.

Let me know if this is not what you see, or you can't get it to work.

That's weird. There is nothing about the carts - no where to put cart days or any reference to carts at all. :badpc:

BUT, the info about the cabin vs. the trailer is awesome!

Ok, I just triple checked, and the Tee-Time calculator is definitely there on the most current version. You are downloading from the first post in this thread, right? The file linked in post one looks just like the screenshot in post one: with three yellow fields on the left for your entries and below them the Tee-Time calculator. Is it possible you had downloaded an older version and when you go to your downloads folder you are opening it rather than the new download? Try right-clicking on the link and "Save Target As..." to some other location (like your desktop) and save with a distinct name to be sure. I hope it's not some funky Mac-PC incompatibility.

Shanta-

I just tried your calculator, and it is wonderful!!! If nothing else, it will give people a good estimate of how much their trip will be if they don't know what kind of discount they can receive.

Then....they can e-mail Rhonda or Scott to book for the very best rate!!

Thanks for all your time and effort!

Thanks so much Debbie... oh, and I totally agree that getting your discount info from a savvy travel agent like Rhonda is a lot better than trying to build a spreadsheet that can cover every eventuality! Say, did you notice if the cart calculator was there? lklassing seems to be having problems and I can't figure out why.

I noticed it, but didn't try it - for obvious reasons!!:lmao:

The cart calculator for the Fort worked, but Tee Time is a protected cell and won't let you enter anything.

Thanks for checking. The protected cells are all result cells, so yeah I didn't want any accidental entries there. The three yellow cells are the only places the user needs to make entries: your arrival date, your departure date, and how many days you want to rent a cart. Optionally, the user can enter expected discounts in the green cells at the top, also. Everything else is filled in automatically based on these user-provided values. Thanks for the help Mrs "I-dont-need-to-rent-a-cart-cause-I-have-a-snazzy-GEM-car"! ;)

:santa:

Yes....I am above all because of my GEM!! :rotfl2:(Actually, I really miss my old Club Car & wish I had it back, but Rick won't let me buy it back....argh!!)

Anyhow, I plugged in some dates and how many days I wanted to rent a cart, and your calculator brought up everything. Disney, Tee-Time, and Tinah's info. It worked just fine.

Here's our original Club Car - IIRC, it was a 1993 that Rick souped up...

Waaaaaaa!!! Every time I see my neighbor driving it, I start to cry!!:sad1:

Awww..... your GEM is the BOMB, so what if the turn radius sucks!?

Well, call me an moron (moran?? ;)). I thought it for sure was a mac compatibility problem, but it turns out I downloaded your spreadsheet some time ago and didn't even realize it. So, sorry for my confusion but thanks again for such a great spreadsheet!

Ahh! Wonderful, so glad it's resolved. Hope it helps with you planning.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao: Hiya Shan-man! I was just sitting here catching up on my Dis reading when my daughter came into the room and saw your picture. She wanted to know why 'Santa' wasn't wearing his red suit. I told her you were on vacation. :goodvibes:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

Are you kidding me?! Silk lined red velvet in the early summer swelter? Anything above about 45 degrees, it's shorts season baby!

:santa:

Just made a tweak to the calculations... taxes in the previous version could be wrong in certain situations. Fixed now. BTW, does anyone know when 2010 rates and seasons are released?

:santa:

Shanta - have you thought about including Golf Cart Enterprises on the spreadsheet too? I saw here on the Dis that they are now giving a 20% discount to Disboard members and waiving the weekend charge. I don't know how that makes it compare to Tee Time, but I'd be interested to find out...

Based on the most recent info., rates for a week rental of a 4 person cart are:

TT = $224.70/$240 (differing recent reports)
GCE = $244.95

Both incl. taxes and delivery 7 days a week, windshield & lights. TT includes plastic roll down rain shield, GCE carts have
long tops that cover the backseat passengers also

GCE also has 6 person carts for $330.15/week.

Yes, I will be adding GCE to the calculator soon now that I have a firm figure for their rentals (4 & 6 person carts)
