2008 Trip, DDP Question:

Friends of ours are looking to book a trip in Jan of '08 (the same time we'll be staying, as it works out, at AKV for the first time, hopefully). They're very interested in doing DDP and are looking to book within the next few months, probably around late May. My question is this: What will Disney do about price changes to the DDP if they book now? I wouldn't expect a huge change (a buck or two, maybe, at most), but if they book and pay by June/July, would they get assessed the increase in price upon arrival? Anyone had this happen? Again, I know it would probably be a $40 tp $60 change, max, for their stay (family of 4, 4 "adults", 1 kid, 7 day stay), but they asked me and I wanted to make sure I passed along correct info...so I'm asking you guys!

Hopefully that's the case...that's about when they're looking to book, so would work out ok.

But it also answers the question about payment....they'll not be greeted with a "surprise" upon check in because they can't book it until the '08 prices are out.

It was August 12 this year when we could first reserve packages and the dining plan. We ended up making a room only reservation in July so that we could make our 180+10 ADRs for the beginning of January. Hopefully it will be earlier this year.
