2008 Rates?

Hi Everyone,

I'm just wondering if anyone knows when the 2008 rates are released. My husband and I are looking forward to booking our January trip!

I booked our room only last week and was told that they expect them mid August.

We're going in January too, what are your dates?

You can call and book room only (was 180 deposit for us at a Mod) and add the package when the 08 rates are released. It's been said that they should be released in the next couple of weeks, but no one seems to know exactly when.

I just read on another thread that a CM told several people package rates would be out August 5

Yep. A rep told me this date as well. Who knows if it's accurate. But that's what I hear.

Okay, so here's my story. I started calling Disney reservations nearly every day since June 13th trying to book our 2008 package. To date, they still haven't been released.

I have been told many different dates with most being mid-August. This would line up with the last two years. I booked both our June, 2006 and June, 2007 stays on August 15th.

I had an online chat with a Disney reservationist yesterday who told me that the rates should be out in the next couple of weeks.

Because there have been soooooo many threads asking about the 2008 rates, I began to get afraid no rooms would be available the first week of June. I went ahead and booked a 10 day room only reservation at the Wilderness Lodge. When the rates come out, I'll change it over to a package.

I've got my fingers crossed that the 2008 rates come out sooner rather than later!

I also have booked our room for Jan 08 because I was getting worried that we wouldn't get what we wanted. I rang and booked this week and there was no availability at CR in a standard room dates 4th-12th Jan. I have ended up with a split stay between AKL and CR (still no standard room availability )
I was also told 2 weeks till official rates come out

When I called last week to change a our room only reservation by a day the I was explaining to the CM I had heard Aug 15th for packages and asked if that were correct. I told him I would be in the hospital recovering from surgery and sure hoped I would be able to call. He told me he would let me in on a little secret--they were going to start working overtime on Aug 5th. So I heard the 5th as well!! Here is hoping!

I wish we knew of what the package might be? It is ususally a great rate for January.. I have also went on and booked a room only for WL... I think all of us doing this is probably going to tell Disney.. they could fill up the rooms anyways.. who knows.. atleast we got our room.
