2008 rates

Has anyone gotten any rates, or booked anything for 2008 yet? I thought I was told the rates would be out in June, but I haven't been able to get anything yet.

Per Southwest's website for their vacation packages:

"Now accepting reservations through January 11, 2008. On August 23, we plan to open the schedule for purchase through March 7, 2008"

I have spoken to Juanita - the assistant rooms manager at Portofino for our plans for March '08. I was getting conflicting messages from reservations, so just contacted her directly.

Rates should be going into the system any day now. Juanita said mid-July to early August.

Just keep checking the on-line reservations.

thanks for the info - I'll keep checking back. I wonder if AAA rates will be available then. I'm actually looking for rates for end of April - trying to get away from spring break rates and crowds.

Anyone gotten any AAA rates for 2008 yet, or know anything about those?? I know they will go quickly. I called nick hotel a couple weeks ago and got a decent AAA rate quoted. double checked plans with DH, called back the next day to reserve and the AAA rates were all gone! Happened that quick. . . I was kicking myself all over the place. Ended up getting a rate $40 higher cuz all the discount rates were taken. Ggggrrrrrr!

P.S. Hey - somebody post when they finally get rates, would you??

Is it possible to get the AAA rates for as early as February 13th 2008 even though it isn't showing on line? Can we call directly to the Hard Rock or Royal Pacific and tell them our AAA membership numbers...and also the Lowe's number? Is it just as good to go direct to the on site hotels to make the reservations or should I go through AAA or Lowe's? If I go through either AAA or the hotel itself...would I still be able to receive my Lowe's gift? As the dates approach...I find myself becoming very stressful about making the right decision about the reservatons...We will be there over President's weekend...Should I just "wait" until I see something on line...?
