2008 Rates Tommorrow??

I just called Disney tonight to add a request to my reservation and after 45 minutes on hold I got a CM who told me she couldn't help me because they were shutting down the system tonight for "enhancements." I asked her if it was 2008 rates/packages and she wouldn't say but she did say they had already added AP and FL resident rates this week, so those wouldn't be it. Since there was speculation about June 23 being the date, I wonder if it will be tomorrow morning?!

I know that for a new rate system there would be massive training that would need to be provided to those CM's plus I figure there will be "system issues" to start with. I'm planning to be really patient, but I'm anxiously awaiting the new rates too and getting to book a family trip for next year.---Kathy

Hopefully the CM you got was wrong! I'm dying to start pricing 2008 packages!

They should be out soon, right? I am dying to finalize our reservation for May 08. I booked POLY 8 nights Magic Kingdom view, but couldn't add anything else or get a total price. I was going to wait, but the CM, said I should snap up the Magic Kingdom view now. Not sure if he just wanted me to book or if I was really in danger of not getting MK view if I waited until July to book.

Now, DH has been pushing switching to the BC (his all-time favorite) on me. He's trying to entice me with "maybe we should add the premium plan and do the BC instead of the POLY with the regular DDP." He knows I love premium plans! We did it 4 years ago when it was called the Gold plan. He's just trying to get his resort. He even has been playing that travel channel show with Samantha Brown on the BC/YC resorts. We have it on our Tivo.

I REALLY do love the BC, don't get me wrong. I just really am looking forward to the POLY in May.

I need these packages to come out so we can do some real planning!

I made a reservation yesterday and was told that the 2008 rates wouldn't be coming out until August. I guess it all depends on who you talk to.

We booked room only at our favorite BWI a couple of months ago and when I called yesterday to check on packages the CM told me September! I repeated it and then she said late August early September so I hope who I spoke to was wrong! Wouldn't tomorrow be great!

I made our reservations yesterday yay: ) for Jan. 24-27 and was told to call back in mid to late September for 2008 rates- for rooms and tickets.

I just got off the phone, again, with Disney reservations to find out when the 2008 rates would be coming out. The CM kind of giggled and said "anytime now". When I asked if she had any idea of just how soon, she said they haven't officially said.

I called a day or so ago and the CM told me that the computers are updated at Midnight every night. So, he said I'll know at the same time he knows. Meaning, if I look at the online reservations at 12:01 a.m. and he looks at his computer when he gets to work, we'll see the same thing.

The rumor is the rates will be out tomorrow. I guess I'll be sitting at the computer at Midnight tonight to see if the rumor was true or not.

Usually in the past the 2008 rates came out before the packages came out. If anything happens tomorrow, I bet it will just be the new 2008 rates that will come out.

If the rumors are true about Disney's new booking system for 2008, then it might be longer because they are having trouble installing the new system. Disney's computing systems are pretty pathetic and it wouldn't surprise me to hear that they are having trouble launching the new booking system.

I don't know if I would trust the Disney site, becuase earlier this week when AP and FL rates were out, the CM's had access to them, but people trying to book on their computers were having trouble, and I have heard that sometimes the online site is a day or two behind directly calling WDW.

Could be as the Free Dining Package is due to finish on Sunday June 24th. It means also that we have to pay off our room by Monday June 25th (45 days).
