2008 rates are announced when?

As you can see, we're a mere 11 days away from our first WDW trip and I'm already thinking about next year! I'm wondering at what time of year they release the rates for the following?

Glad Im not the only one. We are starting to seriously toss around the idea of a Christmas trip. I was wondering the same thing.

IIRC, the rates will come out around August. You can book rooms for 2008 before then, but you basically agree to accept being assigned the new rates when they come out. I also think that historically, you can expect about a 7% bump on average per year.

i was anxious to book our may 2007 trip at this time last year and was asking the same question! i booked our trip sometime in august, i think. so you'll probably have to wait til then!

According to the Mousesavers website:

"Full-price ("rack") resort room rates:
2005 WDW resort room rates became available in late May 2004.
2006 WDW resort room rates became available in late May 2005.
2007 WDW resort room rates became available in mid-May 2006.

Full-price vacation package rates:
for 2005 were released in mid-June 2004.
for 2006 were released June 30, 2005.
for 2007 were released August 6, 2006."

So I would be looking for the 2008 room rates to be out in May, followed by the package rates and AAA discounts sometime during the summer.
