2008 Packages

Anyone have any guesses when the package rates will be released? When are they usually released?

I am planning a trip next June and was told not to expect them until August.

If I remember correctly...

Room only rate for 2007 were releases a month or two before the package rates. (AAA room only rates were not releases until the package rates)

Inbetween when the room only and package rates came out they allowed people to book a basic package... that is a room with Mini golf or something.

The regular package rates were not released until sometime in the beginning of August.

I was told sometime in June or July. If you call in you can book room only at 2007 prices...but it will at least get that reserved. We booked our trip for next March last month. We are already paying on it too. The only problem is when the package prices come out they cancel your room reservation and reissue a package and REFUND all the money you have paid. It's no big deal though...I did it this year. I just wait for the refund to hit my debit card and then put it all back down on the new package. I am terrible about putting money aside and doing it this way makes sure I am paying it down. When I called and made a payment the other day the woman thought I was insane for doing it this way...but hey, it works for me!

I was all set to book until she told me I would get my reservation would be cancelled and all the money refunded. I will just wait and keep my money until I can actually book my trip. August seems late for those of us going in January. That is only 5 months out.
