Hi,
Could someone please post pictures of the 2008 marathon, half, and Goofy tech shirts? I'd love to see them. Thanks!:)

Here they are; all long-sleeved tech shirts. I do not, nor have I worked in a Gap, Old Navy, etc., so excuse the folding ;)

Thank you! They look great. Disney does make a good shirt. I love that the Goofy is black. Thanks for the picture.:)

Actually, Navy Blue for the Goofy shirt :)

Steve--that is a REALLY nice folding job. Can you come over to our place and organize our closet.

Even before you put your disclaimer comment about not being able to fold, the first thing I thought when I saw the picture is, "Wow, I have to give him a hard time about the nicely folded shirts." You could be a marketing guru for Champion sportswear. :thumbsup2

Yeah, and it was a real pain taking them out of their glass cases for the photos

How did the sizes run on these? I put down for DH a medium and for me a small. Are the men's and women's shirts different?

Thanks!

I think the shirts are unisex. I've got a large and it seems that they run a bit bigger than those from last year. Each year different?

Shan - the shirts were sized for men and I thought they ran large. I got an extra large and it is WAY too big for me or for hubby.

Shan- I got mediums. They're a little big, but I like it that way. I originally signed up for all XLs- no clue why! I exchanged the Half and Full shirt at the expo with no problem. I didn't exchange the Goofy because they kept sending threatening e-mails that said you could not change your size.

I bought a Goofy technical shirt and a cotton t-shirt in the female sizes- the L and XL ran pretty small. They're ok, but almost out of my comfort zone. Can you say fitted?!;)

Bottom line- in my experience the unisex sizes run huge but the women specific sizes are a bit small.

Both years, the tech shirts were done by Champion....in 07 I got an XL and it fits me really well...so I got an XL again this year and they are pretty huge!

I know that doesn't help you any...just reporting my experience :) I put down a large for this years shirts :)

I'm glad to see some were able to switch sizes at the expo, I saw workers telling people that they could not do so...guess it depends on who you ask :goodvibes:

I was wearing mine on the trail the other day and this lady passed me and said "your WEARING it to EXERCISE in? Um yeah, its a great tech shirt and I have four of the things now and I will get three more next year. It makes me laugh to think I had to buy my first long sleeve work out shirt last October - before that I would never have run outside when it was cold enough to wear long sleeves!

I have been getting an x-large ever since they have been giving out the tech shirts, this year the shirts definitley ran big. The first person I asked said no, the second person I asked said to come back towards the end of that days expo before the race of the shirt you want to exchange.
So, I went the night before the marathon just before the expo closed and was able to exchange all three shirts. The half and full I exchanged downstairs and the Goofy was upstairs. Now they fit perfectly.

Will they let us switch the size at the Expo?

My mom got the small, all of mine were mediums. There is a huge difference between the small and medium. The medium fit me a bit big, the small maybe a tad too small. Shan, you seem pretty close in size to my mom so I'd say you are good with the small.

If you want to change sizes now (i.e. you are worried you picked the wrong size) you can e-mail the contact at Disney Sports and get them to change it for you, then no worries if you run into issues at the expo.

Incidentally, the Goofy shirts were blue this year:

Thanks everyone. I guess I should have asked before I sent the form off this morning! :rolleyes1

DH's ING tech shirt is a medium and fits good so I was going off that. Maybe I should have gotten him a large...

Shan - If you want to compare to your husband's size medium, the 2008 shirt is:
shoulder to shoulder 20.5"
length 27.5"
sleeve length 24.5"

I agree 08 ran big. In 06 L's were a bit small(I like them big) so 07 got XL which was good. 08's XL were big. Who know's what will happen next year.

As mentioned, they will change via email a couple of months out without issue. After that.....

Right, if you try to change once numbers have been issued and programs are about to go out, then you'll be told you can only exchange at the expo.
