does anyone know when the 2008 schedule for the magic will be out

Normal trips seem to come out early in the year so early 2007, special cruises seem to have a fixed date for the promotion, May 5th 2004 for the Californian trips April 2006 for the Med cruises in 2007.

10 years of DCL in 2008 so many people think there will be something new.

So far the standard seven carribean east/west have tended to be Jan to May and September to December, with special cruises in 2005 and 2007, between May and August..

15 years???? All along I thought it was 10 :confused3 :confused3

My best guess would be September, or October for those dates to be released...This would be the first place you will find out. ;)

We were on the 6th sailing of the Magic in Aug 1998, so the 10 year anniversary is in 2008.

we would like to plan on going the 2nd or 3rd week of may 2008

I would guess Sept, towards the end. When they came out with 2006 dates (I think it was only part of the year though), it was around the end of Sept 2004 because I booked right away (like the day they came out or very close) and the date on my confirmation sheet was 9-28-04.

I booked my 2006 cruise the 1st day it came out it which was the Fall of 2004. I think it was late Sept/early Oct.

I can't wait for the 2008 schedule!! I hope it's out of the Port. It would be nice if the 7day had a bit of a change to it though!

We're waiting for the 2008 itineraries to come out at well. We sailed with a great group of cruises on the May 27th cruise (known on the cruise meets thread as the blabbermouths). A group of us had sailed on the 10 day cruise in 2004 together and had such a good time that we booked the May cruise and met many more new DIS friends. When it was over many of us wanted to cruise together again so the "Do-over" cruise was born. We are looking at early June 2008 hopefully for a 7 day Eastern (but we're open if Disney plans something new). If anyone else is thinking early June 2008 stop on by our meets thread and say Hi! We love meeting new people.

For our May cruise we had three cruise meet threads. One for the adults (the real blabbermouths with 45,000 posts by cruise time). One for the teens and one for the tweens. It was a great way for adults and kids to get to know each other.

We tried rebooking on board last week and the CM told us to keep our eyes open in September to change to a 2008 date. She also said since the Magic will be doing special cruises in 2007, the demand for East/West Caribbean should be back for 2008, and she thinks thats what it will be. Of course nothing is official, but that was her thinking. Or she may have just said that because she knew that is what we wanted.;)

I'd have to agree with that assessment ... with the Magic gone summer 2007, I don't think they'll repo her somewhere else for summer 2008 ... they might do different itineraries out of Port Canaveral, but I think she'll still sail out of Port C in summer 2008.

I agree...I highly doubt they'll repo the magic again for 2008, after being gone for the summer of 2007. At least I hope not! I want to do a 7 day Eastern for our first cruise, or anywhere that stops at CC :cool1:

I'm thinking it would be the regular routes too or maybe some slight changes like to San Juan that they did in 2004.

does anyone know what the original itinerary was for the Magic, when she first started sailing? Maybe DCL will go where they went 10 years ago!

How about alternating weeks w/ some Southern ports--Aruba anyone?

didn't the Magic originally do the 3 and 4 nights that the Wonder is now doing? Or has she always done 7 nighters?
