2008 Disney Resort Rates

Does anyone know when January 2008 rates will be available, and what happens if you book before they come out?

Room only came out late Spring last year and packages over the summer. If you book now, you will be able to book room only and your deposit is 1 night as the 2007 rate. Your reservation confirmation will clearly state "non-guaranteed rate" and you will get a new confirmation when the 2008 rates are released.

I tried to book room only for Dec. 2008 but was told I it was too far away ... I think you can only book 499 days away.

Unfortunately, I think you are looking to book over 700 days out, so you will need to wait a little while.

2008 package rates (and options) should come out late summer, if history repeats itself. It is very tough on the January people but you can ballpark based on this year and hope the changes aren't too dramatic. You will also get a better idea in the spring when you see the room rate increaeses. Last year the dining increase (from 06-07) was $1 an adult per night and nothing per child. Ticket increases may or may not coincide with the package release.

From the Mousesavers website:

"Full-price vacation package rates:

for 2005 were released in mid-June 2004.
for 2006 were released June 30, 2005.
for 2007 were released August 6, 2006."

So as InstImpres stated above, 2008 package prices probably won't be out until sometime this summer.
