Does anyone know if the snack credits are working the same way they did last year? We could get anything $4 or less and use a snack credit to pay for it.

We have heard nothing indicating any significant change in the handling of snacks. $4 or less is not a rule, though. Don't expect it to apply everywhere.

I don't know. :confused3 I have been waiting to see how it goes myself. Bicker is right though 4.00 is not the rule, just a guideline that someone at some point came up with ( I don't know where haha). To my knowledge the official brochure never changed from simply saying the; "popcorn, water..blah blah thing." :).

Best bet is to wait until everyone starts coming back and see what they say. We will begin to know more over the next couple of weeks or so, or if your trip is soon, look for the purple "DP" stickers on the menu's at Disney. :goodvibes

Actually we just returned and they are cutting back on snacks. We were able to bet a full sized bag of chips for snack at our resorts starting 1/1 you can only get single serving sizes. They are no longer going to follow the 4.00 and under rule.

As indicated earlier, there never was a $4 and under rule.

Folks have been reporting the "single serving" stuff for months. I've read messages about folks, in certain venues, unable to get gallons of milk, boxes of donuts, etc.

That's a bummer, so I assume the boxes of doughnuts available in some of the food courts/gift shops are no longer 1 credit either - they made an easy/cheap breakfast that's for sure!

I think the only real changes you'll see are the eliminiation of the "non-single serve" items from the gift shops/food courts. Like the boxes of donuts or full sized bags of chips.

But I'll be on site in just under a week, and will report back what I see/find while "on the ground". We'll have net access for this trip, so I'll be checking in at night when I get a chance.

That would be great!.....We leave in 3 weeks!!:cool1:

We leave in 3 weeks also, and I'd love to know what snacks were available- I don't care about the gallon of milk, large sizes in food courts, I just want to be able to get sweet treats here and there- like a Dole Whip, Mickey bar, rice krispie, etc etc

I agree. However I feel like it would be a lot of effort to change all those DP signs. I'm hoping they are lazy and let us use it for single-serving items. Or else I'm going to be sad girl when I get there. I'll get over it but it would stink. And I'd be spending way more money.

I'm hopin they don't do that since they've received so many complaints all ready due to the loss of gratuity and appy. No one would buy it if snacks are limited.

The list on the '08 DDP brochure is so boring! Chips, ice cream, fruit, or soda/water...that's not much of a variety for people going for an extended period, and what about people on the higher priced plans that get two snacks per day. I think I'll have to just sit down and cry if I can't get that yummy cookie ice cream sandwich from the Main Street Bakery! :(

The listed snacks haven't changed much over the years. The venues are typically much more generous than the brochure.

Best snack credit for the year, The lobster sandwich at America at the F&W $6.50 value.

I hope that things stay the smae i want to go to goofys candy company and make a treat :cool1:

We're on count down as well .... previous literature wasn't even close to exhaustive so I'm living in that bubble for now & counting on our "fun snacks" in 2008. Denial has served me well throughout the years. :rotfl:

I want my pastry at Boulangerie.
We've never been able to get pastry at Boulangerie for a snack credit. They've always limited us to either a soft drink or regular coffee, for a snack credit, there.

I was told on the snack thread that you could. Oh, well, I guess it's OOP for my pastry. I don't count on the snack credits being worth more than $2 each, so anything over would be a plus.
