Hi everyone I had posted this on the resorts thread, but was told to try it here. basically what happened is I tried to book CSR today for april 19-25, 08 after 1 year of planning and research the whole family finally agreed upon CSR, only I call today and am told CSR is not included in the dining plan (either one) I was told both restaurants are not owned by disney and they can't force them to join the dp. So my question is what now? what is the point of staying at a hotel you can't eat at? so very very sad

While it is true that Disney cannot force Pepper Market or Maya Grill to participate in the Dining Plan, they have voluntarily done so for the past three years, and there is no reason, so far, to believe that they won't participate in 2008. The list of participating restaurants you see in the preliminary brochure just demonstrates that you'll have lots of choices. The full list of participating restaurants for 2007 was not released until November 15, 2006, so don't expect to see the participating restaurants for 2008 released until mid-November 2007.

This is good to know! :thumbsup2 I had printed the 2008 brochure from the WDW website and was disappointed with the selections, they had greatly went down, and there is now only one TS listed for Downtown Disney. It is good to now know that more may be added later. Thanks! :goodvibes

Well, let's be clear.... it isn't that more "may" be added later. It is almost assured that more "will" be added later. I believe the list you have there ONLY shows the participating Disney-owned eateries. The mid-November list will contain both the Disney-owned and non-Disney-owned eateries. I think we can take this to be standard practice, now, year-after-year (until it changes, of course).

Lets hope so! :) I appreciate your input, these boards are so helpful!

I doubt Disney wants to have a resort without any participating restaurants. I'd be shocked if the restaurants at CSR aren't on the final list.

They may make some adjustments, I'd be surprised if the 10% tip at Pepper Market will still be included and I wouldn't be shocked if the Rib-Eye Steak is treated differently in 2008.
