Those of you that have already made advance dining reservations for 2008 have you found it as difficult to get the place and time you want or actually easier? I was wondering if the changes in the dining plan had an impact on getting reservations or not. Thanks!

I've made ressies for April 27/May 2. Had no problems getting desired restaurants and desired times. I'm really not sure if the 2008 DDP changes have made an impact. I'm one who calls at the 180 day mark so I usually don't have a problem getting what I want.

I made mine for May 3 - 15 and got everything I wanted with a couple of places being off by 10 - 20 minutes from my choice. BUt I didn't choose any of the major places. I think 'Ohana, Sci Fi Dine Inn and 50s PTC were the ones that are the most popular.

Thanks for the replies. We're hoping to get into Le Cellier and the Coral Reef for dinner. Last year I tried to make reservations right at the 180 day mark in Sept. during free dining and couldn't get either except for lunch. We were there only 4 nights, but I was still shocked we couldn't get in any of the nights right at 180 days. I'm keeping my fingers crossed we'll get them this September.

I just responded on another post that I made ADR's for Mother's Day weekend and had no problems getting all my restaurants, including Le Cellier at 7 pm on Saturday. Judging by the time of my email from her, it appears my TA got up early on my 180 day mark to make my ressies.

Actually, I take that back. I tried to get Plaza restaurant for 6:00 pm on Friday, 5/9, and they wouldn't accept reservations past 4:30. Guessing it had something to do with the park closing at 7 pm that night...and, dare I say, it possibly being a P&PP night? (fingers crossed!)

I'm hoping that the restaurants are less busy. I can only imagine that will improve things all around.

Well, yeah it is just as hard as ever. I wanted to get a few I could not for April. Forget getting LeCellier or CRT at a more convenient time. I don't think the changes make any difference, I know we have booked Deluxe, and the changes did not bother us one bit. People are still going to go to Disney, and they still have to eat while they are there. To think that some on the DIS who are unhappy will affect DDP is a very arrogant point of view on some of their parts. The world does not revolve around those few who want to make a stink about no tip and no appetiser - much to their chagrin I think. I for one am tired of all the whining from some of the DIS people. Life will go on at WDW with or without them....:grouphug:

I made my ADR's for April 12th through to April 26th on my 180 day mark and didn't come across any problems getting the restaurants I wanted. I was very impressed with how easily I got them, as I was quite worried I wouldn't get CRT at all and got in for the 14th April, no problems! :thumbsup2

We are going the last week in Jan. I was able to get every place and time that I wanted...now, I did make my ADR's at the 180 day mark exactly for most of them, especially Le Cellier.

I did make a few changes here and there, I also added Teppan Edo and Donald's Safari later on, and I was able to get the days and times that I wanted.
