You sound like me...I loved teaching pre-k and plan to go back to it after Emily is in school. I liked working at the elementary school too but the idea of teaching high school would terrify me!

I use to work in a playschool for a couple of years when Becky was there, I absolutely loved it. I love kids at that age, they are so much fun. When I left there to take more care of my mum, I used to volunteer in both the girls classes with reading and helping out on trips. But once they went to secondary school, that all stopped. Maybe when Becky has finished school, I may go back to volunteering again

Mandy - have a great time on Sunday - eat something delicious for me!! LOL

Thanks Laurie, I may not want to eat too much chocolate on Mother's Day, but when I hit that buffet, there'll be no holding me back.

I go mad for all the starters like pancake rolls, chicken balls and lots of prawn crackers in sweet n sour sauce and then I'll have chicken curry and other mains too - I can't wait :thumbsup2

Laurie who's opening up for Jon?? Is it Daughtry??

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS............ WOO HOO!!!! I don't know who I am more excited about... LOL

Yea, wanna come over and sit by the pool and sip daquiris??:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2:

In my bathing suit - and being michele is bringing the fat free chips, I'll bring the veggies.. LOL What boring lives we lead!!

I buy the swedish fish in the bulk food dept. at wegmans by the pounds:lovestruc
That is TOTALLY dangerous!!!! I love the bulk sections in Wegmans... I usually make "dirt" and I always get my gummi worms from there... OH.. and remember when we were kids they had those wafer candies w/the sprinkles inside, I think they were UFO's or something.. Weg's has those too!! :woohoo:

Ok..

I think I've read everything.. sorry if I missed anything.. as usual, when I am away for a few it gets crazy, and NOW that I've read it all (I think) - and that I am caught up, everything will come to a HALT! :scared1:

Anyway, stay warm out there Michele -

Suzanne, I wouldn't sub for high school either...

Veronica - are the Mets on SNY on Friday? Can I come over? LOL Is it a day game? or night? Maybe we'll go down to MILs for dinner and watch! :thumbsup2 I am going to have to check the site and see.. It's probably freezing there.. when we went last year - we went to 2 games in Port St. Lucie it was HOT, then we went up for ESPN the weekend in WDW and we were FREEZING... and come to think of it, it was almost exactly a year ago!! Hmm.... :scratchin

I took Keegan into school. After everyting we've gone through, the secretary made me sign him in as tardy today!! Classes didn't start until 9:00, and it was 8:48 but the homeroom bell had rung at 8:40. He was a bit apprehensive, thinking he might fall ill again at school but I assured him he won't be doing gym class for a while (at least until his next CT scan) and his teachers will be keeping a watchful eye on him. I feel like he's a newborn again, getting up half the night to check on him and being so protective. I sure hope the next 2 weeks fly by and we are all in the clear.

They have 1/2 day Kindergarten here too. Brennan went last year at 8:45 and got home at 12:15 and that includes the bus ride. This year he leaves at 8:30 and is home at 3:30. Keegan leaves at 8:05 and is home at 4:05. When he's in 7th grade he'll have to leave at 7:00 AM. I think that is way too early. All of these studies show kids need more and more sleep and the districts continue to have such early mornings.

We are definitely a beach family. I enjoy making a snow man with the boys after a snow fall and once a year snow tubing, but can't stand the cold. Keegan said he really really wants to go to the beach again soon so I may fly him down in a few weeks with my parents over a weekend to Clearwater, where they have a small vacation home. He could use a weekend on the beach and fishing with his grandpa. I can't even begin to imagine what he's emotionally gone through himself this week. I was thinking of even having him "talk" to his guidance counselor to make sure he's doing alright. He tries to be so brave for us, I just want to be sure he's being open with his feelings.

I can understand how you want to keep an eye on him, but I guess the best thing for him is to try and get back to some sort of normality. He is so brave and I hope he doesn't find school too tiring today

How wonderful to be able to escape down to Clearwater for the weekend. I'm sure that will be the best medicine he could have right now - seeing his grandparents, and being in the sun too (can I come too ;) )

You take care of yourself too Danielle

OH.. Those gummi bears are the best... I like the clear ones...............
:

Those are his favorites too!

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS............ WOO HOO!!!! I don't know who I am more excited about... LOL

I'm still here for a little while..then off to drop off Bryan and go to Curves. Mets are on SNY Friday, day game...come on over! They lost yesterday:sad2: but at least its only spring training. It was chilly there yesterday but its supposed to start warming up (and its still warmer than here)

I like the clear and the red and the orange... I always have yellow and green left in the bag.....

The concert is going to be great.. as long as he shakes his little butt!

Well, the usual progression of things is................. if they have a bad spring, they have a good regular season... so, hopefully that is the case! ;)

How have you done this week Veronica ? Have you had a weigh-in ? or is it an exercise class ? Good luck at Curves :wizard:

It is circuit training...basically there are about 20 machines/platforms. You have about 30 seconds on each one then the tape tells you to change. You go around 2 times. On the platforms you can jog in place, walk in place, jumping jacks, etc depending on your level (and energy that day). There are many machines so you work all parts of your body. They play lively music to keep you moving. I have found that is a great way to start exercise (for people like me that have never been to a gym) because its easy to learn and there are women of all levels. They weigh and measure you once a month (I'm on the 10th so I have to work hard for the next few days). This week was tough because I haven't been for a while I was away and my asthma is still bothering me a bit from being sick but I have to say that I feel so much better after I go.

I hope you are right!

Off to drop Bryan off and exercise...I'll be back soon!

Curves sounds great Veronica, and it sounds like you enjoy it too (which really does help) - so Good Luck for the 10th then :wizard:

See you later :)

We did PM-K too .. I kinda liked it - Picked them both up at the same time, and was able to enjoy lunch w/my friends!! :thumbsup2

NO skiing here - I never took a liking to it, so, my kids will never know it exists! LOL They do like sledding though, outside in the snow - like Veronica said, too much bundling up for me! Then, you have a lot of extra laundry..

Mandy - have a great time on Sunday - eat something delicious for me!! LOL

OMG - candy corn is the best the one w/the brown bottoms, I believe it is indian corn.. oh, and those gross sugar pumpkins?? YUCK.

OK...that is an interesting MIX! LOL

TOTALLY freezing here too, but heading for a warm up this weekend.. I think a BIG 50 degrees!! :yay:
I hated skiing. i asked jeff to teach me for our honeymoon. All i did all day was fall on my butt it sucked and he was losing patience with me so i went back to the room and waited for him to finish. Never again

I love the indian corn but i agree with you those pumpkins are icky

Afternoon girls

For Paul and the girls, they pack a couple of days worth of clothes and then go mad in the malls shopping. Hopefully all I need to buy Kerry & Becky will be a nice dress for one night on the Wonder. As for me, I am always looking out for holiday clothes, I'm after a new dress, probably for Palo, a denim skirt, and a tankini set for Castaway Cay. Other than that I could quite easily run upstairs and be packed in 20 minutes :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm back...

You guys make me feel better about myself...I thought I was crazy making lists already for the trip (as I think of something I may forget I jot it down..autograph books, pin lanyards, etc). Now I don't feel so bad. In front of me is a chart I made with all the park hours, extra magic hours etc. so I can decide where to go each day and where to make ADRs (my family thinks I'm nuts...but they'll appreciate it when we are there).

That's exactly what I did. All my ADR's correspond with the morning EMH's, though there are only 4 early EMH's during my 8 days there

I virtually know where we'll be on each day now - and the nearer it gets, the more excited I get

I'm a insane planner myself. I have excel spreadsheets for each WDW/cruise we go on with tentative daily itinerary, park hours, parade/firework times and where our ADR's are for the day. We don't always stick with everything on it, but it's just part of the planning fun for me.
