OH - I didn't tell you what I GOT through DVC this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a lot of choices, I could've had Beach Club, Boardwalk, Animal Kingdom OR Wilderness Lodge, and the kids decided on Wilderness - which was fine w/me! We never stayed there before, and they have the boat over to MK - so, why not!

AND... I booked a character breakfast for Saturday 8/23 - at Vero Beach! So, that'll be fun!!


Great!!! This is so cool that we are all having our 'dreams' come true w/reservations and dining - am I corny or what? LOL I am not sure if we are going to make any ADRs for our big ONE night at Wilderness.. I'll have to check w/DH and see.. maybe I'll see if we can get something for Ohana on the morning that we leave, being we are leaving later that day...

I am getting excited here... 6 months till the cruise! WOO HOO!!! Maybe I should get back on the treadmill!! Actually, our trip itself starts a few days before.... maybe I need another ticker??

If you don't do Ohana you should try Whispering Canyon. We had a great breakfast there in September.

We love Whispering Canyon - that is one of our usual stops for dinner when we are at WDW! It's a lot of fun!! I have to wait to book Ohana later this week, right? If I want to book it for the 29th, I need to wait till when? (you guys are good w/these calculations!) - If not, maybe we will try Whispering Canyon - at least we are right there! WOO HOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe I need two tickers... I am getting super-excited here! I think I'll start packing! Just kidding!

I spoke to DVC this morning... so far, not dates on the P&PP for August, right now, they only have dates through June.

If you hear of any dates for P&PP, let me know - but, if it doesn't fall during that time, I am SURE we can keep ourselves busy! We actually have some days left on old passes for waterparks, so, we could actually do that during the day, and head to the MK in the evening... or something...

Hey Laurie, I've just checked out the hours for Magic Kingdom in August
http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wd...alendarParkHoursMonthlyViewPage&date=20080801 and it looks like the park will be closing late all month. I know a lot of people were 2nd guessing the hours for April, and they knew that the park was closing at 7pm, so guessed that the P&PP could be on those nights. So I doubt that there will be any P&PP in August. I really hope that the hours change for you, so that you can get to a P&PP

How cool to be staying at the Wilderness Lodge, I've never been over there, but it looks lovely in photos. It's so exciting that everyones plans are coming together, and I bet the character breakfast at Vero Beach will be great fun too

We some how got lucky and got an on time flight back into NY yesterday when everything else was cancelled due to weather (although my son was hoping our flight would be cancelled too because the airline person told us we probably wouldn't get home until Tuesday or Wednesday if the flight was cancelled). We left 85 degrees and sunny came home to cold and snow

I will spend some time today trying to read through everything I missed (and catching up on ). Hope everyone is doing well and having a great weekend)

Thanks for all the welcome backs! You guys are making me feel better about being home! I'm always sad coming back in the winter leaving the sunshine, trees and flowers for snow and being stuck in the house. I'll just have to work on my plans for August...I have to catch up with you guys...I haven't even started to think about dining plans for WDW yet. So far I'm up to page 96 on these boards....lots more reading to do!!! I loved looking at all the great pictures!

My day is definately a p.j. day as well .

The weather was hit and miss. We did have some days of rain and clouds but also days of 75-80 and sun. We were still able to get outside alot to the beach a couple of times and take the kids to the park. Of course, the weather was getting warmer and less chance of rain as we were leaving (seems like that always happens!). I'll try to post a couple of pictures of the kids from this week later.

Mandy - I did check on the calendar myself - I am hoping it changes.. but, at least the good news is - if I get the one day/one park pass, MK is open till 10, and after getting off the ship and heading over, we should have plenty of time to take advantage of it! It would've been perfect if they had the P&PP - this way we could do Blizzard Beach in the morning, and rest up for a few, and head to MK for the party at 4, but, we'll see! I have plenty of time to get the tix!

I am excited about Wilderness too - someplace different. My first choice was the Boardwalk, but the kids wanted to try this - so, why not?! It's only one night!

No, we didn't get to spring training DH had to fly up to Philly for work in the middle of the week & I wasn't going to attempt the trip to St. Lucie with the kids by myself. If my flight yesterday was cancelled thats where I would have been today though! There's always next year! I have to get some tickets for games, all we have so far are some nose bleed seats for April 15th. As much as I love the Mets, DCL wins...maybe we can bribe someone to put the game on the screen by the goofy pool and have the best of both worlds!

Everyone here is almost healthy..just some lingering coughs!
