Hi everyone...back from doing PTA stuff at the school. I also went out in the freezing weather and did my weigh in at Curves. I've lost 4 1/2 pounds and 7 inches (they measure bust, arms, waist, abdomen, hips, & thighs). I was hoping that I had lost a little more weight than that in a month but I am happy to have lost! Now I just have to be good when I am on vacation next week

Okay guys I have a question.

This is my first Disney cruise. I have been on four others all RCCL and approx 10 yrs ago. (another lifetime.) Have any of you been on other cruiselines and can you tell me the differences. I did choose Disney because of my DD and believe it is better for a family vacation. (I wouldn't dream of any other way)

Honestly since going to WDW in Oct/07 for the first time - I'm hooked.

We've done RCCL, Princess, Celebrity & NCL (all before kids). Our favorite of those was RCCL. Disney is better in cabin size, entertainment, kids programs, and I love the fact that there are separate pools for kids/families/adults. If you do want some quiet time there is a place to go without kids splashing around. The food is fairly comparable to RCCL (with less midnight/special buffets but who can eat that much any way). There is no rock climbing/mini-golf/ice skating but you are kept busy without them. The only thing we miss is a casino. We are not big gamblers but we did enjoy going there for a little while before or after dinner (or rainy days at sea).

Oh well veronica that's o.k. we still like you...lol I wonder who it was that said they sewed their daughters little dresses.

Mandy i have never even attempted using a sewing kit and i don't think i plan on it in the future..lol

I just got the best surprise from hubby for valentines day. He told me we were going to the store to look at a desk for sarah's room but really we went to the car dealership and bought me a new truck. I am so excited it is a gmc sierra denali. It is black with black interior and it has a dvd player in it..I love him so much I don't even know how to top that for his present now. It was so out of the blue that he decided to do this.

Michele...congrats on the car! Your hubby was an excellent valentine! Make sure you keep all those crazy LI drivers away from you now!

Thanks for the encouragement! I am going to FL but not Disney. We are going to Miami to see my niece, her husband and their new little boy. My brother & his wife just bought a condo nearby so we will stay with them. We will pobably do the Keys one day and I've never been to South Beach so I would like to go there. I want to visit with the baby but I don't want to overwhelm them too much with my kids. Plus the baby is having eye surgery while we are there so I want to help but not be in the way. I am definately looking forward to warm weather though (it was 11 with a windchill of 5 below this morning here!).

Sandy - what kind of work do you do from home? I work from home also - well, I work at the office 2 to 3 days per week, then I work from home for another lady - it's a typesetting company, I've been working for her since my oldest (who is now 11) - was a year old!

WTG on the weight loss - that is great! I am going back to WW this week, probably Thursday - I NEED to be good.. it's so hard, especially w/the cold weather, all I want to do is sit home and snack!! Keep up the good work!

We have a PTA meeting tonight... I don't really want to go - but, what is the PTA w/out the board attending.. ya know, it's the board, and 2 other people that choose to show up, and of course, w/this cold weather, I don't think we'll have a great turnout!

Oh - I have one of those, and elliptical, AND a bowflex.. and why you ask am I not losing weight?

Yes, before we moved, the treadmill was my dryer rack - but, now that it is in the basement, and not near the laundry area, it is just a dust collector.. although, DH uses the stuff now - he is better than me... EVERY day I say I am going to go down there, STILL haven't made it!
