Doing some fast research on tankless water heaters. Anyone out there have one? Gotta get this fixed quickly. Dishes are piling up gonna have to heat water on the stove today to wash them. ICK.

Hey Mandy - I'm here - we just got back from a birthday party - it was lots of fun (for the kids) - the weather is so strange - it was in the 60's all day - not normal for NJ this time of year - and now it is POURING rain - I am just glad to be home and not out on the roads now!!

Anyway, nothing new and exciting - hope all is well w/you!

Hi all - well, still no hot water. We have a fan on the heater drying it out. It should light by tomorrow night.

Bought a dehumidifier for the basement to help the drying out process.

Been a dull day here, nothing much to report. Oh except that I bought a couple kinds of diet soda to try. Step one towards starting my diet. Now if I could be as good a the rest of you and get in some exercise.

It is so cold over here this morning. We've got a hard frost and freezing fog. I just hope that Spring comes soon and everything warms up. I guess I'll just have to dream of Castaway Cay to warm up

Well you guys won't believe where I spent the day........ In the pediatric emergency room When Sydney woke up this morning she still didn't feel well and couldn't keep breakfast down. So,......as my middle DD has type 1 diabetes I used one of her urine ketone sticks for Sydney and she had high ketones. (basically, poisons in the stomach caused from dehydration) Of course my dh and I were immediately concerned Sydney could also have diabetes as unfortunately your mind just goes there ) We called the doctor and explained the situation and he told us to go to the er now. It turns out her blood sugars were fine but she was severely dehydrated and needed two bags of IV fluids. So after 4 hours they released her and we are giving her zofram(anti vomiting meds). She seems to be perking up again, hopefully for good this time....... we were just so thankful to not have another child diagnosed with diabetes. Ironically it was February break 3 years ago when Haley was diagnosed in the same ER so it has been an emotional day.

I feel your pain all too well!

GUESS WHERE I SPENT THE DAY on sunday and the past 2 - In the ER and the ICU with Emma!!


We think she had a Febrile Seizure and because she has an undiagnosed muscle condition her pediatrician admitted her. It was a very scary day but the scariest part was the seizure. We got released last night about 9. I was so happy to take a shower and sleep in my own bed.. I said I needed a vacation but this was not it!

Oh Jen, poor Emma, was the seizure brought on by high temperature due to an illness or something else ? I hope they've found out what was causing the seizures and that she's OK now - aww bless her

I don't think I have ever known a Winter were so many people are poorly, and it's not just feeling unwell, the illnesses seem to go on for a week or so

I went out this morning and Paul sent me text saying he had gone home as he had been ill. He's been unwell for over a week, but he is so busy at work that he just keeps going in. Well this morning his body must've felt that it had had enough, so he came home and he's been in bed ever since

I hope someone has some fun news for us to brighten our day

Ian is getting expanders and braces put on on 2/26. Today he goes to get his spacers.

This is the view from my house. We live on a pond. It actually is long enough to be a lake but not deep enough. It is only 16 ft at its deepest. It is a great place for the kids to swim. (Not now of course! )

He told me that you must get really cold out there not having a house. I had to explain you had a house and the pond was near it!

I just caught up with the last several pages. I hope everyone's feeling better!

Talk about weird weather---DH and I were both off of work yesterday and the boys were in school so we had lunch and shopped at Costco in Columbia, Maryland. It was 74 on his suv's temperature gage. We got home and it was pouring and yucky. Now the sun is out and it's flurrying.

We had a super busy weekend between Brennan's birthday and my FIL visiting. We had a blast taking the boys snow tubing.

The flu, strep and a stomach virus are still running rampant around here. Keegan and I have felt queasy since last night and I hope we aren't getting the stomach bug. We've all had flu shots, but with so many flu strains, a lot of people I know that had the shots have still gotten it. I am hoping to avoid it. The next 2 weeks we'll be in lots of crowds with wrestling championships coming up and I'm going to be making sure we wash our hands a ton and use hand sanitizer frequently.
