They had Freddie Highmore on the show. He's the 16 year old who is in the Spiderwick Chronicles and he was in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He was really cute trying to cook.

They also had on the creators of these great pop up books. The audience received 2 of them (Cinderella & Alice in Wonderland). My son is a big fan of their Star Wars pop up book. Its an unbelievable book and a must for any Star Wars fan.

Off to try to get my night owl to sleep...wish me luck

Well goodnight ladies. It has been a long day for me and i think i will go to sleep reading one of the books i picked up today.

It was a very nice day. The weather cooperated and it only rained on us a few minutes. It was interesting watching the Martha show being taped and seeing what goes on behind the scenes. Plus the audience got a few little goodies (3 books). I really just enjoyed having some time away from home and being a grown up.

Definately.. When we were on the last cruise jeff woke me up at 4 am to have me come see the dolphins following the boat. I couldn't see a thing i heard them jumping but saw nothing..lol oh well maybe this time.

I can just imagine how impressed you were, being woken up at 4am to look at the dolphins in the dark

I saw a couple of dolphins as we backed into Castaway Cay in December - they were so cute

Mornin' ladies!!! WE HAVE A SNOW DAY!!!! Talk about an awesome surprise!!! It is a teacher's dream! Not only a snowday today but we are off tomorrow for Winter Carnival!

This is the 111th year our town has celebrated the LONG winter with a carnival.. We have a palace made of ice every year. If you would like to see it here a link:

Yes it was the highlight of my cruise to not see the dolphins.. he kept saying look right there right there and i'm like where where.It was very annoying. At least i heard them jumping and making cute noises.

As far as winter carnival goes it is a 10 day event... Lots of outside stuff... Snow tube races, snow shoe softball, snow volleyball, fire works, parades, variety shows, concerts,ice shows,ski races, fry pan toss, snow shoe races hockey games, snow sculpting contests etc....

People live for Carnival here. On the Saturday of the Big parade there are lots of Carnival parties at peoples houses. When we were in our 20's everybody drank a lot... Now that we all have kids and have to get up in the morning we still have some "beverages" but not enough to feel like crud the next day!

I'll try to send more pics as things happen

And yes.. It's cold... If it is too cold I skip the parade and go to the party after!

Just checking in - I have to read the busy board activity - I haven't been on since I left work yesterday - I went home, ran the kids around, ate dinner, sat down to watch American Idol - and FELL ASLEEP! I guess that is what happens when you are up at 5 am -

I am going to read and catch up a bit - but I did see that Jen has a snow day - WOO HOO for you! We are in the mid-50s here, no snow in the forecast, I (from the mother's point of view) do not like snowdays!

We are going to virginia to go whale watching the 16th till the 21st. Yipee i love the cold . We are staying at our westgate timeshare and doing the whale thing, some historical stuff(for hubbY),and ripleysbelieve it or not for austin. There is also a indoor waterpark in williamsburg that we will go to as well.I must say if the casino had contacted me sooner we would be there not virginia. But it's to late for that.

Are you going out for a meal ? Will you buy each other gifts ? I doubt we'll do anything, I've never been into Valentine's Day

Usually for Valentine's Day - we go out the day before or the day after to avoid the crowds, unless we go really early.. Gifts are small, or nothing really- usually DH will get me flowers - I'll get DH a little something. I usually get the kids something small too, and that's about it. DH's bday is the following month, and Christmas just passed so, nothing that we need/want.

Webkinz - GOT 'em - my son goes nuts for them. I actually got him two of the newer ones for Valentine's Day - the older one could care less!! LOL

Dolphins - ADORABLE - wish I could see them outside my stateroom, from my crappy porthole! I'll just have to come into one of YOUR rooms at 4am to see these things! LOL I am sure your families won't mind!!!!!

Woo hoo snow days love um especially when they are on MWorF so I get paid
