We are leaving on the 22nd and staying at universal royal pacific resort and then jumping on the cruise. I eally enjoyed my bubblebath and i am all relaxed now. Jeff just called and said he is coming home early so we are going to go out for dinner. Chat later. Have a great day.

We are flying in on the 22nd on allegiant out of Plattsburg, staying at disney not sure where yet, and flying home on the 29th , back to disney for 1 more night. We are flying in an out of sanford....

So we were thinking of staying at one of the Universal hotels and just do that. Have any of you stayed at those hotels and can you tell me which one you preferred?

We have only gone to Disneyworld once before (last October) and stayed at the Dolphin.

We have never stayed at universal before but i have heard good things about royal pacific so we are giving it a try. The last time we stayed at disney we stayed at port orleans(didn't like very much) and grand floridian(really loved the 24 hour pool at the gf). Good luck with your decision.

I just climbed down from the attic cleaning out baby things Its very hard deciding what to keep and what to get rid of but I need the storage space.

We've flown into Sanford quite a few times, it's a lot quieter than Orlando International - and I've even known us to be off the plane, pick up our cases and driving away in our hire car within 45 minutes

Have any of you stayed at those hotels and can you tell me which one you preferred?

We've never stayed at Universal before Sandra, but we are booked into the Hard Rock Hotel for two nights when we get off the ship - so we're looking forward to that

The Spice Girls concert was brilliant again - unfortunately David Beckham wasn't there, but I still had a great time anyway

A few years ago we stayed at the Portofino Bay Hotel at Universal. It was absolutely beautiful. We really loved it but it is very expensive unless you can find a great deal. We were lucky that my husband had a business conference there so it was paid for by his company.

Mandy, yes I was very busy. I got through all my daughters clothes now I just have to tackle my son's stuff. I glad you had such a great time at the concert!

Today we are going to go outlet shopping about 45 minutes away and maybe to an aquarium near the stores. Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning all!!

So, I survived the party!!! It was pretty good - everyone had a good time! Lots of food (and drink! LOL) The kids had a great time in the basement - playing Disney Karoake (sp?) - and pictionary.. I had the CD I made playing, we were all chatting and looking at pictures from past cruises... Everyone had a good time - and I am sure sweet dreams about DCL last night!

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO - I have to book airfare - but, I did book VERO!! So, we are heading down on Weds 8/20, checking out of Vero on 8/23 - heading to a hotel by the port, so we can park the rental there and take their shuttle over to the boat, then they pick us up... I think it is Country Inn and Suites - I have to get the number from my cousin. But, Vero is booked, the kids are excited!!

Off to price airfare, and maybe take a few advil for my headache - wonder what that might be from??? LOL

Yay ! I'm so pleased that you have managed to get Vero Beach booked now - you must be so excited

I'm sure you'll have plenty to do the day before our Cruise, but if you have time, go down to the beach jetty at Cocoa Beach and you will see the Disney Magic set sail. We ended upgoing to outback steakhouse and unfortunatly it was not very good. We love the food there normally but last night was awful. My steak came out raw 3 times (yes 3) finally i just ordered dessert and gave up. They comped us the meal but i was still annoyed that i didn't get to eat a real dinner.

Glad your party was a sucess laurie.

Did you finish tackling the attic veronica?

How was the show suzanne?

I am feeling so much better today! Thanks for asking!

Now that our cruise is really in the works, I have to start working on some custom outfits for the girls! They got so many complements in November when we were at the world! I found some really cute pirate map fabric so I may make some sun dresses.

So here is a question for all of you experts... I am thinking of upgrading from a cat 6 to a cat 4.. Any thoughts for those of you that have experience with both?

That sounds adorable i wish i could do things like that. I am not the least bit gifted when it comes to sewing or creating something unique.Sorry i can't help you with your question about cat 6 to a 4 we have only stayed in a cat 3 . We actually were trying to book a cat 4 for our first cruise but there was none available for the dates we needed so we splurged on a cat 3. Way out of my normal budget but i wanted to take a cruise so badly i bit the bullet and did it.Hopefully mandy or suzanne can help you with your decision. have a great day.

Actually my husband thought it was quite amusing that my steak came out raw 3 times. He is the type that will just deal with it and eat it. I am way to picky about my food...lol.. But it was still nice to go out just the two of us.

Mandy - I am going to check out your trip report a bit later - thanks for sending it!! So, Vero is close to the port?? I am so clueless when it comes to direction in FL - we can get to WDW from the airport w/our eyes closed, and my husband is great w/the navigation of the roads from place to place - but, I have no clue what is north/south/east or west of WDW! LOL

Cocktails, yes - but nothing fancy - just sangria and beer - I was going to to pina coladas - but, I never got around to getting the stuff, oh, well - but the sangria did the trick - OBVIOUSLY!!!

Michele - OMG - I have had trouble in the Outback as well - Don't get me wrong, I LOVE tha place, but have had issues w/the meat not being cooked enough. I am not into anything moo-ing when it is brought out - GROSS - but, we've had some dinners comped there as well.. Usually it happens to my son - and we send it back, and the poor thing waits, and we all eat! LOL Horrible, right??

The main reason i was annoyed was because i told them to butterfly it(slice it through the center in half to make it thinner)and all three times it wasn't and it was raw. By the 3rd time i had an attitude which my hubby found amusing. So the poor waiter comes over and tells us my meal is comped and i say well of course it is i am not going to pay for raw meat i didn't eat. So he scurries off and the manager comes back and tells us my hubby's is comped too i couldn't have cared less by now i was pretty annoyed. But later in the car we laughed about it. Glad u had a nice time at the party.

If we were to do it in one day it would take approx 12 hours including layovers.
