2008, 24th/28th Aug - *Double Dipping with the Bahama Mamas*

I started my day cleaning the fish tank. I am now cleaning the kitchen ( with the TC on 2011 1n2 2012). Have to run around a bit. Help DD12 with making a purse out of old blue jeans and a old belt ( science assignment for Earthday). I suggested that she make a bird feeder out of a soda bottle! That was quickly vetoed!! I also have to try to help DD Niki with her HS chemistry since she has been sick all week. I have a degree in Chemistry, but haven't done it in years, I have been a web designer for over 10 years! It is sad, I don't remember hardly any of it!

Oh yeah and the dreaded taxes need to be done! I hate bookkeeping, I am really bad at it.

Sounds like I need to go check out the Croc outlet ( actually I need to see i it is a store or outlet) it is in an outlet mall. It is 5 minutes from my daughter's gym. and she is there 12 hours a week! I like the British version of a kip, here it is a move on the uneven bars that it took my daughter a long time to learn!!

Hi Laurie and everyone - It's actually been a sort of boring weekend here.

We have a friend of my son's staying with us next week, while his parents go to a dog show/conference/thingie. So, I felt the need to do some deep cleaning around the house. Between that and laundry, I haven't even left the house yet! It does feel good to see my table and counters again, though!

The weather here is kinda dreary, too. We might go see a movie later, maybe Leatherheads or Nim's Island.

My weekend was OK - we had baseball and the Soul game yesterday - that was fun - LAZY one here today!!

Did you get to the movies? I was not leaving the house today AT ALL! I decided that yesterday!

We just went to Old Chicago for dinner and to play in their arcade. Ian had a great time and as usual Tori was too cool to go anywhere with us so she stayed with a friend.

Just dropping by to say Hi. So much to catch up on and so little time.
I finally got out of this town today and drove two hours to Wal-Mart and have lunch at Boston Pizza. All the snow is off the road so I'm outta here!! (although there is an avalanche warning)
It's pretty pathetic when the first chance this winter to get out of town to drive to Wal-Mart in the next town is a big thrill!!!

Crap I missed the Wonder. Oh well maybe next time.

Sorry Michele! It was a last minute decision to go to Huntington. We were already in Cold Spring Harbor at the fish hatchery and Tom and I had a craving for Bon Bon Chocolatier so we drove over. I promise next time I head over your way I'll call! We should be heading to Walt Whitman soon in fact (Tom loves the Apple store)

Jen - Its great that your husband is already discussing the next cruise I guess you will be booking the next one onboard because I know all of you will love it. We ended up having such a good time in November we booked this trip while on the Magic.

Diane - wow! you've had a busy day - hope you got to have some fun too!

Kathy - Did you get to take a break from cleaning and go to the movies? What did you see?

Sorry if I missed anyone! We had baseball pictures with Bryan early this morning then I had a baby shower for Tom's cousin this afternoon. My BIL and nieces then came over for dinner so its been crazy today. I'm happy to report that Emily is doing much better without the binky . She whined a little when she was tired today but didn't even cry at bedtime tonight (although I did have to rock her to sleep in the rocking chair). Have a good Monday everyone!
