Thanks for your details girls, I have added them to the first post of this thread (so we can find them easily) :)

Is anyone doing anything nice over the weekend ? We haven't got anything planned at the moment, so it could be a lazy weekend of DISing and watching TV :thumbsup2

Mandy :)

Hi again..

Mandy - thanks for keeping track of all of us :goodvibes

Michele - we are not far from you, we are in Bethpage

This weekend is busy for us, Saturday is my nieces (the twins) 12th birthday so we will be having a get together and Sunday is their dad's (my brother-in- law) birthday so we'll be going out for lunch then the guys want to watch football.

Have to run to get my son to school (he's in PM kindergarten) but I will check back later.

Nicole is the only one at this point with any plans. Her friend has a photo assignment for class on suicide. How odd is that? so nicole and two of her other friends are posing for some pictures of them dead. Very odd. But she likes to do the theatrical makeup and costumes so she is excited about it.I think the teacher is a little nuts doing a assignment on suicide for a photo class but whatever. Nicole's art teacher gave them an assignment to draw the death of a cheerleader. How nice. I think all these teachers are alittle nuts....lol Anyway i have to get back to workng on my hubby's buisness taxes chat later.

Welcome aboard Veronica, it's great to 'meet' you. We've had a few newbies join us this week, which is great as we were worried that we'd be sailing on an empty ship :rotfl2:

Girls - If you want to, you can let us know who you are travelling with, what deck you're on, room number (if you want to) and what dining seating you are on, and then I'll add them to the first page, so we know where we'll be - like this

mandymouse

Mandy (44)
Paul (43)
Kerry (17)
Becky (15)
Deck 6 (midship)
Late seating

Hi everyone - Welcome Veronica!

I haven't been on all day!!! Busy, busy, busy - not a busy weekend though - Anthony has basketball at 8am tomorrow, but other than that - we'll be homebodies - we are expecting some kind of snow UGH!!

Anyway... we are cruising with:
Laurie (37)
Carmine (35)
Dominic (11)
Anthony (9)
Category 9 - Deck 2 - I think our room is 2612
Early seating - which we might be changing.

Does anyone prefer the early/late seating - we've only had the early, but my sis and her husband are coming along on the cruise (they booked later than us), and they have the late seating - so, we might change, they are waitlisted for the early seating - if they get it, we'll keep it, if not, maybe we can switch.

Hi everyone and Welcome to all the new cruisers. Poor Mandy didn't think anyone was going to be joining us!!!!

Suzanne 41(ugh)
John 42
Angelina 13
Haley 10
Sydney 8
cat 3 deck 8 midship
early seating

My bil sil and niece 12 and nephew 8 will be joining us also

This will be our 3rd time on the Wonder and I just can't wait to be at Castaway Cay twice. I doubt we will even leave the ship in Nassau??

Hey Girls

Woohoo !! It's the weekend at last

Michele - Nicole's friend's project sounds rather weird :rotfl2: My youngest Becky is taking photography at school, and I'm waiting for them to have to take some wacky photos too. Mind you, the death of a cheerleader isn't much better :rotfl2: It all sounds like an episode of Ghost Whisperer :rotfl:

Laurie - we have had late seating for our last couple of cruises, especially as the girls are that bit older now. It always seemed a rush to be ready for dinner at 6pm - though saying that, we had 8.30pm on our last cruise, and that felt quite late :confused3 Well one thing is for sure, we're not going to starve whatever our dining time is :rotfl:

Suzanne - we didn't get off the ship in Nassau on our last Cruise either. Sometimes we get off to take photos in the harbour, but we really don't like going into Nassau. Maybe one day we'll get to Atlantis, but it won't be this trip. We're excited about visiting Castaway Cay twice too, I can't wait

My friend is on the first double dip in May, and they are waiting to find out when they can book Palo for brunch - noone seems to know what day brunch will be on (as it used to be on the day at sea day). We're hoping to do both brunch and dinner at Palo - what about you lot ? are you hoping to get to Palo too ?

Mandy :)

I am undecided if we are going to do palo or not. Jeff hates dressing up and i don't want him to be cranky on our cruise....lol i would love to try it though. We'll see how he feels about it later on. Even for our dinner's onboard he grimaced at wearing anything but jeans and a tee. I made him wear a nice polo shirt and some dress pants but even that was torture t him. he thought since he was on a cruise he would be in his shorts day and night..lol later ladies Michele

We love Palo for brunch, the food is to die for and the service is top notch. We
don't do dinner though because our girls love having dinner on the ship and we love having that family time together. My kids really don't like the lab club whatever. They went when we asked them to but certainly never enjoy it. They like doing other things on the ship and hopefully this time as they will be a little older we can allow them some more freedom. Who knows maybe they will like the clubs this time:confused: But in any event we will not do Palo for dinner.

Michelle suicide and death of a cheerleader????? wacky lol:eek:

Yup! The kids enjoy the assignments but i think the teacher is pushing it a little with what is going in this world today.michele

I can totally understand where you are coming from Michele. I must admit that I love to get dressed up each night (even when we don't have to), but the one thing that puts me off from cruising on the Magic (along with the cost :rotfl: ) is formal night, I would hate to put on a ballgown and Paul have to wear a tux - that would be just too much for me

We love Palo for brunch, the food is to die for and the service is top notch.

I agree Suzanne, dinner is great, but brunch is just fantastic, and the service is the best :thumbsup2

What about excursions, are you planning any ? I doubt we'll do any, though I wouldn't be surprised if Kerry and Becky hired a pedalo at Castaway Cay again - they love doing that :thumbsup2

I am so pokey at this!

Hey suzanne do you know your stateroom number? We have 8548 we wanted 8032 again but they hold those for the land and sea people i think. no land and sea for us this time.

Mandy my only excursion will be to find the perfect lounge chair and drink to spend my day with. Last time we did the stingray adventure it was cute but once was enough. we rented a tube but no one really used it. Everyone was more interested in just sunbathing or swimming. Do you think u will get off the ship for bothcastaway stops or just the one? Jeff thinks one is enough for him. He isn't a huge beach person. I know i will be there both days. Love the sun even though i never tan i am very pale and when i do sunbathe i burn. So i am either pale or burnt. Eventually it turns to tan buti am not very patient....lol. Well i have laundry to do so i'll chat later.:laundy:

Hi Michele

We are planning on getting off the ship on both the Castaway Cay days - we're not beach people either, but we love the sun and Castaway Cay too. We tend to get off early, lie out till 12, have lunch, then spend another hour or 2 in the sun

Of course, it will also depend on which day Palo Brunch is being served, it would've been on the Wednesday (what used to be the day at sea). If we're really lucky, they'll serve Brunch on Nassau day - that would be perfect for us :thumbsup2

Hopefully we'll find out next month when the first Double Dippers start doing their Palo reservations

Have a great day everyone

Mandy :)

Hey Michelle we have 8534. We are not doing a land/sea package. Last year we did the stingray excursion on the morning after steve Irwin was killed. It was very emotional for everyone working there. It was nice but I wouldn't do it again either. My dh and oldest did the banana boats and had fun. I'd like to do the wave runner excursion or parasailing, but I LOVE the beach and sun and could just lie on the beach all day with some Corona or pina coladas and be happy. My girls love the beach too. It cracks me up that we live in central new york because we all have that beach and sun mentality:confused3

My parents have a private beach by them i spend most of the summer there or at my friends pool. I love the beach but my hubby just tolerates it for me . The kids can take 2 or 3 hours tops and they are ready to go. i have been trying to convince my hubby to move to south carolina for the past few years but he is resitant because he would have to start his buisness up all over again. It is to expensive to live on long island anymore and i hate the snow and the cold. Well back to the laundry. Chat later

LOL - I haven't got room for all the different countdowns that I made for my next holiday, so I keep them in my PM's. I think it's about time I had a look at them :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Aren't I sad ? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I thnk they are cute but 209 days sounds so far away 7 months seems closer...lol..I wish i knew when they are going to offer the free dining again. Right now we are flying in on the 22nd staying at rph cruising 24th-28th then i don't know if we are going to do the free dining at disney if its offered or stay at our timeshare. I like to plan way ahead and disney probably won't be offereing the dining until june like last year. oh well i guess i will just have to wait and see.

What's RPH Michele ?

At the moment I am trying to 2nd guess the morning EMH's for when we have got the free dining plan. We've never done this before, so we're trying to find out which parks open early, and then book a breakfast for mid-morning. I've looked at June and July's EMH's and they seem to stick to the same days, so hopefully they may be the same for August. Luckily the EMH's should be released for August before I have to make my ADR's in mid February

We're hoping to do the Cinderella's Royal Table breakfast, has anyone done this before ?

Mandy :)

Royal Pacific Hotel at universal. We have never done the cinderella breakfast before. I would like to stitch at the poly this time. Nicole loves stitch.:lovestruc
