Mandy ~ Em's therapy wall brilliant!!! She was doing some really great things that impressed her therapist! Sarah had a great time swimming as usual! She keeps telling me how she can't wait to meet you!

My poor mum has just phoned. She was due to have her cast removed today, and she had made lots of plans to go shopping tomorrow. They removed her old cast, redid it, and told her it won't be removed for another MONTH !!! She's really fed up now, so she'll be stuck at home even after we've gone to WDW

I think I'd better treat her to some flowers

Maybe I can persuade her into getting a wheelchair for a few weeks, just to get her out - but knowing her, she'll be far too proud to show that she's struggling with her disability

So sorry I have been MIA for a few days. Work is crazy, but that is good. I will try to do a quick catch up but please forgive me because I know I will miss some people and some events.

It just starting raining here again, it has been on and off for the last 2 days.

Mandy, I hope your mom's foot is feelin better. I can imagine it must be hard having a casted foot, especially during the summer months.

I certiainly can't wait until this time next month! I'll probably be wide awake, trying to make a little noise so everyone else gets up and gets moving. I love getting to the port as early as it opens to check in and explore the terminal/wait to board.

Sandy, good luck to your neighbor's team. The team that beat Keegan's is called Spring Ford. I really think any one of the top 3 teams at the tournament could have won the title, but Spring Ford really played flawless and should do well.

We went to the Orioles game last night. It was the 25th anniversary of when they won the World Series and had a lot of those same team members including Cal Ripken come back. In the 6th inning it began pouring down rain and thundering/lightning all around the stadium. We waited an hour just for it to lighten up enough to make it to the car nearby. I'm not exaggerating when I say there was 8 inches of water in the downstairs concourse near the exits. Stadium workers had to come lift out drains to make it go down faster. The highway was closed because of a bad accident so it took us a while to get home.

This morning Brennan has his last day of football camp my dad will take him to and Keegan has his CT at Hopkins. The make up innings for the Orioles starts at 12:00 and we thought of going since we'll be right there, but Derek has to work at 2:00 so I doubt we will. Keegan has practice tonight and Brennan has the pokemon league so it will be another late night for us.

So - as I said - work is NOT good! I am 'off' today, but will be working at home, which I guess is a good thing - make the money and NOT go into the office.. the boss called me here yesterday at 3:45 to make me NUTS - so I have a feeling we will be in contact today- LUCKY me - NOT!!!!!!!!

Now - being I am working here - last night, I decided to go on a Staples shopping spree (on the business credit card, thanks boss! LOL) And I got a bunch of things that I needed AND a bunch of things that I did NOT need!! (for work anyway! ) So, that was FUN!

My spare room/office is a MESS w/bags from Staples everywhere and clothes on the bed for the trip - I think my first order of business will be to organize the office area to work more 'efficiently' and charge the hours to the company!!!

Well, Ant is off at camp, Dominic and Carm are still in bed (he is off today) - so, I should take advantage of the quiet and work, but here I sit! LOL I guess I should do something constructive!!

But, before I go - I must tell you this funny thing... I went to WW yesterday!! It was worse than I thought - but, 4 weeks, 2 pounds a week - I was actually thinking MAYBE I could lose 10 before we leave for Vero on the 19th - IF I REALLY try! But, being I am a stress eater, and this work crap is driving me over the edge, maybe 10 pounds is NOT possible... my work-out addict husband thinks I can lose 15 by then. LOL Is he kidding??? Not sure exactly when I would fit in ANY exercise over the next few days................

Alright - enough of my complaining and back to work!

Oooh, it sounds like you're having a stressful day Laurie. I think you should tell your boss what he can do with his projects You'll probably get fired, but just imagine how good you'll feel I hope you manage to get it all finished quickly - and just remember, you know where we are if you need to vent

Sorry I was MIA again. We went away for a couple of days and any internet time at the hotel was spent with Tom working. Now I'm trying to get everything done for the kids parties this weekend . Luckily Sunday I have nothing planned so I can catch up on all the posts then.

We had Keegan at Hopkins for his CT and we wound up staying there for 2 hours and not having it done. They did it without contrast last time and our doctor up here said to do this one without contrast since he had a reaction to the contrast before and the medication they use to premedicate for allergies could cause tumors to grow. They literally had him on the CT machine and pulled him off because the head of Pediatric Radiology wanted to meet with us and insisted that he have it only with contrast. We met with her and she said he was a subject at a conference and they think he could have a bronchogenic cyst which can only be diagnosed with contrast CT's. If he does have this cyst, he would most likely continue to get reinfected and would need surgery to remove it. She said the last CT had to many collapsed scar tissue pockets to make an accurate diagnosis and that if he had the contrast without the steriods he could go into anaphalactic (sp) shock. This sure is a roller coaster. Every single time I think we are going to go in and get the all clear for good we get yet another blow. I'm hoping it's not what they hypothesized, but if it is we'll deal with it and get it over and done with. It's just hard to believe in this day and age it can take so many tests and months to get a proper diagnosis. Jen, I know you are right there with me with such frustration.

Afternoon Ladies, Sorry i have been MIA for the last couple of days. Between my frIends being here from pa and my not feeling well i just haven't been posting.

I told laurie the other day about how much weight i have lost in the past 4 days but it comes with a price. I can't keep any food down. I have no desire to eat and when i force myself to i just can't keep it down. I think i am going to go to the doctor tomorrow if it doesn't stop. My friend is a nurse and she said all that starving myself has messed up my metabolism and shrunken my stomach. The only thing i can digest is those nasty slim fast shakes..
So that has been my fun life the past few days.

Danielle, I hope evrything worked out with the ct for keegan..it must be so frustrating to be on that rollercoaster of not knowing what is going on.

Jen, Glad em's therapy went well and hope she keeps on progressing..

Mandy, I hope you convince your mom to use the wheelchair.

Michele, I hope you feel better soon. I have some kind of virus that's been going around with body/head aches, fever, sore throat and mouth ulcers. The boys both had it a couple of weeks ago and lucky me got it a couple of days ago and just have been taking advil. Their doctor said they've had a lot of kids in with it thinking it's strep at first. I'm feeling much better today after sweating it out all night, which is the first time I had a fever with it. Half our neighborhood has it right now too. Luckily it's not at all gastric.

To put it bluntly it really really sucks to be going through this with Keegan. I was 99.99% sure he'd have this CT today, we'd get the all clear and maybe have one CT a year for a while. Now I feel like we've been thrown for a loop with surgery a real possibility again. I know I shouldn't be reading up on line about it, but I did and it's scary to see what the surgery involves and that in one study of 60 cases there was a 13 % fatality rate. I don't want to torture myself until we know for sure it's a bronchogenic cyst, but I also want to know what we might be facing. I'm trying to be strong for Keegan, but I really feel sad about it and went out to cut the grass so I wouldn't sit inside and cry in front of him. It's just a very scary situation.
