Mandy,

I'm glad that your mum is recovering nicely. 's to you.

You guys have to see this! We are in contact with a PT in Toronto who does Cuevas Medek Therapy. She has offered to see and work with Em! We are waiting for details..

You have to watch this video about this little girl named Teya.. I cry every time I see it! It gives me so much hope!

http://www.theteyafund.org/

So it looks like we may do Boston and Toronto before the Mickey Boat!

Hi Girls!

I was so sad for Petrozza last night. I really wanted him to win. None of his food got sent back. Maybe he just didn't yell enough for Ramsay.

Hi Betty~ glad you got some extra time to dis today:lmao: ;)

Is it something that you would be able to continue once you return home as well?

Mandy, How was your day today? Does becky like the work program?

Hi Michele, Becky seems to like her work experience (thank goodness), she's been helping out in a couple of schools and a youth club. I think she's just happy not to be going to school :rotfl2:

What have you been up to this afternoon ? :)

Debi, Betty, Mellisa and Mary Ellen - Do you guys have an idea of how much you are spending per person/family and if you are doing more that one day. Since we have a small group, I have gotten about 3 small things for each kid, not much for the adults yet. I don't want to go overboard but I don't want to be stingy either. I haven't sorted it all out yet, but I think I spent about $10 per kid, is that too much???. Since I have 3 kids I wanted to make sure everyone got several things. Do any of you have feedback?

Diane
I am doing basically the same, a few gifts for the kids and one for the adults or a family gift. I may throw in a little surprise every day, just a lollipop, or pencil or such.

Mary Ellen

Hi All

We are back from Texas.
Thanks for all the well wishes for my Mom. She is still in the hospital, until they can stabilize her breathing, then she will return to the nursing home.
But she appears to be doing better.

On a Sad note:sad1: We had a message on our answering machine from DH's Sister stating that her son(DH's nephew)Michael (23 years old) had been in a car accident Saturday morning, and was in critical, but stable condition with a traumatic brain injury, due to a blow to the head. They removed a 5' diameter from his skull to reduce pressure on his brain, and he is in a drug induced coma. If the brain swelling remains down for 24-48 hours they will remove the drugs and see if he can regain consciousness or respond to stimuli. It seems it will be a long slow process, before any prognosis is available. Please keep Michael in your thoughts and prayers.

They live in South Carolina, and we plan on visiting on the way down, and back as we are driving to Florida. We pray he will be out of the hospital and on the mend by then.

Sorry this post is such a downer.

Talk to you all soon
Mary Ellen

Yup, we are on the same flight Aug 29. Our original flight was through Portland but Alaska canceled that. We only have an 1 hour layover in SEA so I hope it's not delayed.

How is everyone.

Good news about Em.

Woo Hoo It's cruise ship day here today. We have a new one that comes this year so we are up to three a week now.

Oh gotta go - ticklefight in progress

Mary Ellen that is good, at least I am on some kind of track. I saw little packs of Tinker Bell note books at Michael's Crafts yesterday 2 notebooks for a dollar, could not pass them up!!

Jen, that is amazing video! Good luck with it and I hope they spend part of that time teaching you how to teach her. In the video I saw they had a theriputic riding program, I can highly recommend that you try one when she is old enough ( not sure what age they start, but it is pretty young). I know of several in this area and they also do remarkable things!

Phillies finally won one tonight!!!

Danielle, any news on the baseball tournement?
