2008/2009 School calendar.....

DD just came home with the school districts calendar for next year!!(2008/2009) Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I thought it might help those planning fall trips or trips in 2009. DD's school calendar is similar to the other schools in our county and the neighboring county(Orange and Rockland counties in NY)

No school on the following days:
Oct. 2008 9th, 10th and 13th(Thurs, Fri, Mon)
Nov. 2008 4th(Tues), 11th(Tues), 27th & 28th(Thurs, Fri)
Dec. 2008 24th(Wed), 25th, 26th, 29th, 30th, 31st
Jan. 2009 1st(Thurs), 2nd and the 19th
Feb. 2009 13th & 16th(Fri & Mon)
March 18th(Wed. conference day)
April 9th(Tues), 10th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th(Spring Break, Easter April 12th)
May 25th(Mon)
Last day of school June 25th.
(First day of school is Sept. 3rd)
If we have to take back days because of used up snow days they will take days away from our spring break.

I was so glad to get this today because it is really helping with me deciding on when to go. Hope it helps others too!

Here is our 2008/2009 Calendar (this is for Gwinnett County, GA):

Aug 11 - First day of school
Sept 1 - Labor Day
Oct 13 - Student holiday
Nov 4 - School holiday
Nov 26-28 - Thanksgiving Break
Dec 22-Jan 2 - Winter Break
Jan 19 - MLK day
Mar 13 - Student holiday
Apr 6-10 - Spring Break
May 20 - Last day of school
