2007 WDW Vacation Planning DVD

When I got it, I sobbed like a fool. And I was only 30 seconds into the introduction! :sad1:

quilty:

You and I can join the same sobbing-fools club.

And I'm a middle-aged guy.. I am not supposed to be a sobbing fool..

Next thing you know I'll be going to Hugh Grant movies and dreaming of a date with Jennifer Aniston..

Ha ha..

I cried too and my childern DS 7 and DS 9 made fun of me. I could just imagine my DD4 being that little blonde girl running up and hugging Cinderella and it hit me right in my soft spot. Get teary eyed just thinking about it ..lol

Oooh.. you want a REALLY good cry.. read THIS thread...

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1351346

It's about the family who won a trip to Florida and had the Magic Kingdom COMPLETELY to themselves for a while at opening.

There's a link to video.. where they are walking up Main Street USA alone and then thousands of cast members swarm out of the buildings and greet them.. I cried like a baby.

We got ours last week, but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I'm glad to hear that it's an improvement over last year's!

I love this years planning DVD! It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I definitely got emotional watching it the first time. Heck, who am I kidding? I still get emotional watching it! But it gets me even more psyched for my upcoming trip :goodvibes

Even my 11 year old son enjoyed it this year. I got the DVD last year thinking we were going then, but he didn't really bother with that one.

I wish I could find my tape from 1997, my DS would enjoy that one.

I too am glad they mix the DVD up year after year,
BUT...............
I liked 2006 version better. Probably because it was the first time for our family to visit WDW and this DVD had us all so pumped and excited and gave so much more useful info in my opinion.

Yeah that's what I mean...for people who have never been before, (which is actually who Disney is targeting with these videos) this new one doesn't explain the rides very well. The old one explained everything.

Just watched the new DVD (still playing, actually!). I'm one who preferred the 2006 version as I liked the hosts and how the represented 4 different types of guests. Aside from the CM stories, this DVD felt more like a general commercial and didn't draw me in as much.

I love this video! "Stephen is my friend too ..." I teared up just reading about it on this thread! To be fair, I have been known to tear up during Kleenex commercials too! My kids, on the other hand, always want to watch the "old" Disney DVD.

Still waiting for ours! I can't wait. And I agree with some of the previous posters, some of the old videos were great. It'd be great if they reissued them on DVD!!! lol It'd never happen, but it's a thought.... :)

Actually I prefer last year's DVD.
For me it was more fun to watch and sort of easier to navigate the DVD.
Although, I must admit, I LOVED  the CM stories on this year's.
So sweet!

do they make a new dvd EVERY YEAR? or is it sporatic, and if a new one comes out, when are they released, in the fall?

I'm voting for the 2006 one as well. I loved the content of that one. I loved how they went ride by ride. They actually toured the parks and let people know what was going on. I also LOVED Dave!!! Luke was a little annoying, but that was ok. I got the lay of the land and wanted to know more.

2007 on the other hand was yes, a feel good sugar rush, but no real info for someone interested in whats new, and whats going on with the Million Dreams. It's, to me, kinda boring.

I still watch it, as I do the 2006 one. Usually back to back, as our trip is about 2 weeks away!
