2007 Transatlantic and First Med cruises thread

It is so nice to see so many of you posting over the past week:goodvibes

I am missing the cruise and thining about how perfect two years ago was as well:)

Lately we have been busy trying to deal with our tenants in New Hampshire. It is not a good situation and I think we will haev to evict them (though we are trying one last thing tonight as a compromise trying to get them out quickly in exchange for them not owing us as much money--we'll see). We are running away from all the stress and going to DISNEYLAND PARIS tomorrow:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1: We need a pixie dust fix and this should do it:upsidedow

Dave started a small websight about our adventures here in Germany. It is a work in progress, but I thought I would share it here in case anyone is interested in looking at it:

It has been fun reminiscing with all of you! Yes, the waves, how can we forget the waves. Anna, you are right, as I look back on the past 2 years, we were in the right place at the right time. It was truly special and something we will never forget. I hope everyone will enjoy the Memorial Day weekend coming up. We have nothing special planned and Anna - we plan on visiting Epcot soon so we will look you up. Tomorrow I am taking Abby to Universal because I got free tickets in the mail - they must be slow, well at least that is what I am hoping for tomorrow! Have a great week everyone!

Yes, it has been fun reminising about old times! We were supposed to go down to Boulder, CO for a race - but Scott now has to work on Memorial Day - so we will do the race virtually!

Have a good day everyone!

Hi Guys, Been so very swamped with work (and glad to be swamped!) It's shocking to think where we were 2 years ago. And I must say that Mother's Day was almost weird this year at CA instead of the last two years at CC.

I have a request to put out:
If anyone has 18 points for OKW to rent for a very wonderful woman at school I'd appreciate it. She and her family could never afford to go to WDW, but she was given a 2 day vacation (from another auction winner.) They are really stretching their budget to pay for a family of 5 to go for 2 days to WDW, but they are so excited. I'd love to give them points to stay at OKW for 2 extra days. It seems silly to fly that far for 2 days. She works in the development dept. and they are a great family w/an adopted autistic child. She spends all her time fund raising for others, so I'd like to help her out by extending her vacation by a couple of days at a great location on 11/23 & 11/24/09. If any of you know anyone who can rent (at a very good rate) please let me know. Thanks, Kelly

Hey friends... long time no see, I know...

and here I come asking for a favor...

I have a dear friend of 20+ years in Idaho who just started a little web site that helps writers get published. It has contest, agents, links to popular authors, book club info...

He's not selling anything, and I'm not getting anything but friendship points. It really is a good site, and I am trying to spread the word. Click over and see what you think, esp. if you love books like I do!!!

If you leave a message, just say I sent you. : )

Joes has a FB, btw. He updates you on any new contests he lists. And thanks for checking it out! We're up to 79 viewers a day after only a month! Very fun to be a part of!

I have had a rough day and you made me smile and my day so much nicer! You are so sweet and it is funny when you are out to eat, shopping or just doing errands and you see something that reminds you of dear friends from the cruise and you just smile!!! I will be thinking of Rio tomorrow at lunch.

Oh Sandi, you are so great to do that for Rio! That's why I love this little group. It feels like family! Hadley, thanks for checking out the site! It's what's keeping my head above water these days. A nice healthy distraction. : )

Hi guys, the grape jelly story is cracking me up. Yes, another disser from one of our cruises not only had the points, but donated them to her. Yet another reason to praise the disser community. It was so generous that we all burst into tears. :worship::worship::worship::worship:

Here's what I've been working really hard on www.milestogodrugeducation.com

We'll be adding our new homeschool sections very soon. We are presenting at our first conference this summer.

You'll find a ton of dissers on our facebook page = even though it is a business page. It's cracking me up.

Kelly - just went through your website and LOVE IT! Congrats on doing such a wonderful thing for children, kids and adults. Also, good luck with the education - what an accomplishment. Hope everyone is well. Tomorrow we are going to Max's birthday party - Jerry & Sherry, great friends from the TA, Max is their son! Again, so thankful to have all of you and the joy you have brought to our lives!!!!

Hi guys, thanks - I've been working hard on all the little things like the recommended reading store on Amazon. I still have a lot that we'll be adding on this summer. Well, Zoe was sick again this week w/strep throat and our cat died (old age). We're adopting 3 new cats today from people who can't keep their adult cats because of allergies. We're going to DL hotel next week on the last day of school for a quick one night vacation. I have a small conference next week as my prep for launching all our new ideas. Then a big one this summer for the home school conference. We aren't posting all of our new stuff until the summer because we don't want our competition to know what we are doing. Have a good week everyone!

Kelly, are you doing the work on your website yourselves or did you hire someone to put it up?

Sorry about that, I haven't had time to log on for the past week. Yes, I've done everything by myself. I'm too cheap to pay someone else! Plus, then I lose control of how and when I want it updated and changed. I removed it from my signature again because it is leading to all my threads.
