It's official! Yup, that's right, I'm officially tired of looking like this.

I finally got DH to agree, so we are officially going on a diet. WW meetings are required, as well as exercising (:yay: <-----this counts right?) (:happytv: <---and this??)(:surfweb: <----and this???)
So, that is our biggie (have to be around for a long long time to bug my kids way into adulthood).

I am also cleaning up and maintaining my scrap/craft room...
Following Flylady.com missions daily...

Wow, I'm exhausted already!

Anyway, anyone else made any resolutions or have any goals?

My resolutions this year are to be more assertive especially to my PTO members, to stop yelling at my kids so much, to lose 70 lbs and to clean my house and keep it that way.

Come on Deb, I'll post my wish goals if you will!! We'll start our own Crafters wish group.

I never make resolutions because I know I will break them. So let's call these "Goals," not resolutions.

Goal #1 - Get healthier. (Note I am not saying "Lose weight." That's too intimidating and sets me up for too much disappointment if I fail.) Actually start attending the gym I signed up for in November. (Being busy with Christmas activities was my excuse all through December. No more excuses!)
Eat healthier. That means getting more organized (see goal #2) and be able to cook meals at home. No more take-out for dinner and no more frozen dinners at work.

Goal #2 - Get more organized. My house looks fairly decent because I have lots of hiding spaces for my clutter. No more hiding spaces! I tried FlyLady once - it's too hard to follow her daily emails when you work full time but I did use a lot of her ideas like dividing the house into zones, etc. And I really need to get organized with my time. I seem to waste a lot of it because I don't have a clearcut plan for my days off.

Goal #3 - Scrap (not swap!) on a regular basis and make continuous progress on my albums. This should be a fun one but somehow still this falls by the wayside.

Let's keep each other motivated!

maybe we should start an organization thread. we can pick 1 room a month and post our progress. I have an organization calendar that picks 1 room a month. Let me see if I can find it.

Hey! I want the organization thread.. one room per month!!! If I can work w/ someone, I don't get so distracted as to the other things I can do!!!

My goals: #1: Keep my DH healthy!! We are doing great so far!! He is doing wonderful!!!
#2: Not yell at the kids so much! ITA B&MB...but sometimes it seems to only work that way!
#3: Get organized
#4: Get scrapping somewhat caught up.. or at least keep 2007 caught up.. I have a plan.. now if I can just check in here and get things going.. I'll be able to get this somewhat accomplished!!! :rolleyes1

I'm in for this one!! My goal has been one room a week, but it just hasn't happened.

My goals for 2007 are:
1) To make a job change, hopefully, in the earlier part of this year.
2) To return to a more healthy lifestyle, with a healthy diet and back to regular exercise.
3) To organize and maintain organization in my home.

Cool Idea! :woohoo: I am on another site and last month was an anti-procrastination month. Every day you had to post 3 things that you have been putting off that you actually accomplished. It was pretty funny seeing some of the things that got posted, but it really did keep you motivated. And 3 things really doesn't seem like much...

Because we're going on the repositioning cruise on the Magic in May, all my resolutions for this year are about it. So

1. Save money between now and when the cruise is paid off (probably July, but I would like to have it accomplished by mid June).

2. Lose weight. I have some formal wear that I would like to wear on the cruise, but it doesn't fit right now. Last year, I did 3 straight months of exercise and only lost 3 pounds, so I am not sure how that is going to work this year (and it's not like I only have 10 pounds to lose, like BAMB it's more like 70). But more like New England Eeyore, if I can regularly exercise from now until the cruise, eat healthy, not eat out (helps with #1 too) I will call it a win, even if the weight doesn't come off.

3. Scrap. Because of #1, I am pretty much on an "adhesive, page refills, and in emergencies, card stock only" scrapping budget for the first half of the year, so it's time to start using all the supplies I have been hoarding.

I am going for goals this year not resolutions- I agree it justs makes me feel bad if I don't get them done- goals can always be continued if not accomplished in a quick manner.

1. Finish organizing my house- I did all my scrap stuff- now I am going to work on the rest of the house- I am all for the orginization thread. I'ld be willing to send out a little prize for everyone who gets it accomplished each month(the room of the month)- like a title and country outline for the world showcase from my craftrobo.

2. Exercise regularly. I have an eliptical machine at my house but I haven't been using it.

3. Actually do some scrapping instead of just swapping.

Okay, for a prize, I would totally be more motivated.

Here's my procrastinating that got accomplished today - got rid of ceiling cobbwebs on the main living floor. Tomorrow will get rid of the ones upstairs in the bedrooms.

And as soon as I finish typing this, I am going to get a trash bag and remove the garbage accumulating in this room (computer/library).

I agree...I need goals, not resolutions.

Goal one - A theme here...get healthier. I started a walking program last year and was up to 12 or 15 miles a week, but the holidays killed that. That has to start again, I had been making real progress.

Goal two - financial. This has been a tough year for DH's company - we fired a big client because we did not want to be associated with the way they had decided to do business - better in the long run, but really hard this year. I have to play catch up and get my "house" in order. Budgets have been set and now it is just a matter of sticking to them.

That's it for me.

I'm in for #1!!!!

I love the idea of setting goals.

I would like to start cooking a few more meals each week, okay even just once a week. I know allt he Burger King can't be good for the kids or DH!

I need to start scrapping and I don't even have the excuse that I have been swapping as I cut that out. I have started today and if I'd get off the DIS I might even finish the page I started!

Finally, I would like to committ to exercising twice a week. It would be so easy to hit the gym after dropping DS at school, but I usually come home to DIS!

I also already joined to organizational thread, so I am committed there too!

All these goals start next week for me when the kids are back in school! :thumbsup2

This is a great idea! Here are my goals for 2007:

1. Get healthier/lose weight--DH & I dieted last year, and I lost about 35 pounds. I've gained back about 3-5, so I'd like to lose that and about 10 more. I'm with KAMommy on the walking. . .must get back to it!!

2. I want to catch up on my scrapping! I know that means less swapping, more scrapping, and I am determined to catch up.

3. To keep my house more organized and cleaner. I fantasize about being one of those people who can just invite people into their house on a moment's notice, and it look perfect. It will NEVER happen, but a girl can dream! (Not that I would WANT to invite them in, but I COULD!)

4. To be more postive, less negative. Working in a high school, a lot of focus is on the negative, unfortunately. Must try not to get sucked in by that!!

I'm glad we can help each other try to stick to our goals!!

I think you do a terrific job of that now, Brooke. You are certainly a very positive and sunny person here. I know what you mean about work dragging you down though. I used to work in a place where it was just myself and one other person. She was (while very sweet at heart) easily the most negative person I have ever met. Being around her so much really brought my spirits down, so much so that I ended up asking for a transfer. I'm so fortunate that the people I work with now are (among many other great qualities) very positive and it has made my attitude a lot better in the process.

Lets see I don't usually make Resolutions but I have a couple things I'm going to work on.

Be healthier. I could afford to loose a couple pounds and with us trying to get pregnant halthier is always better.

More scrapping and less swapping. LOL well I'm going to try anyway.

Add me to the list of people who will diet. I've actually *been* "dieting" or cutting back since last April and have lost about 15 lbs. I'd like to lose more before we go back to WDW in April. 10 more lbs. by April would be a reasonable goal, but I really need to start walking and get in better shape, too.

Another goal would be to clean my house on a more regular schedule and stay more active while doing it. I sit in front of this computer wayyyyy too much. Need to get moving! :cool1:

My scrapping goals would be to scrap as much as humanly possible. LOL. I think I scrapped something like 250-300 pages last year, so I would love to beat that number.

~~~~~
I'm editing to add that I didn't read all of the responses to this before I added my response and I'm laughing at how similar a lot of our goals are! It'll be great to have the support here to get these goal attained!
