Since it isn't posted - which to me is strange :confused3

I called MS to find out the cash prices for SSMC07

Here they are:
Catergory 12 = $1010
Catergory 11 = same
Catergory 10 = $1065
Catergory 9 = $1098
Catergory 8 = $1153
Catergory 7 = $1257
Catergory 6 = $1334
Catergory 5 = $1389
Catergory 4 = $1609
Catergory 3 = $2632

Additional
3/4th adult = $685.25
3/4 child (3-12) $630.25
3/4 child (2 and under) $177.95

Hope that helps

We have never done a dcl cruise - would love to do it next year. Can you split points/cash? It would be my dh, myself and dd.

In previous years, it has been any combo of points and cash you wish. We used all Cash, but we could have mixed it up too.

Thanks for posting Cobbler :thumbsup2

The prices didnt really increase much from this years cruise. I believe our Cat 9 for SSMC06 was $1092 so only a $6 increase.

those seem a little inflated. It will cost our family of 4, nearly $4000 for a cat. 6 for a 4 night cruise. I just priced a 7 night cruise on Disney for the same category, same week and it's $4400 (through Allseas).

Shows you the benefit of booking through a travel agent.

The member cruise is more than normal DCL rates. Unfortunately no agents involved with the member cruise so no specials available!

The DVC rate includes all tips. Not sure if it includes payment of anything else.

That does seem a bit pricey, even w/ tips. However, it is one of those great experiences. We went on the 2005 Member cruise and it was unforgettable, so much so that I even forget what we paid or how many points we used.

What is the itinerary?
I know 2 days at Castaway Cay are the other days at sea or in a port?

itinerary is Castaway Cay, day at sea, Castaway Cay. I really like the itinerary.

I am concerned about one thing though, it says that any change made to the booking constitutes a cancellation and $75.00 fee. I am wondering if I book a cabin for 4 and then there only end up being 2 of us, would I have to cancel and rebook, even if I wish to keep the same category cabin. My DS is graduating (hopefully) from college and we don't know just what he will be doing in October or if he would have the time available to go with us.

These prices do seem a llittle steep for a 4 night in a Cat. 12. What extras exactly are included from those of you who have done this cruise before? I am seriously thinking of doing it...... :scratchin

I'm a huge Disney fan, but these prices are taking advantage of other huge Disney fans. I booked a 7 night instead for the same week (at roughly the same price as the 4 night). A few towels, a few pins, a duffle bag here and there and mystery guests who may or may not be on board really aren't worth the extra money to US. Plus the fact that there are the cancellation fees (which I understand are part of booking a cruise through DVC). It's just not for our family. (and I'll probably get a call to book early b/c I did sign up for the raffle.) Plus, the fact that the 2006 cruise apparently wasn't as good as the previous cruises worries me. Again, not for OUR family. No need for those booking to get upset about my opinion. (Be happy that I won't use the early booking option. I know they'll call me. It's Murphy's Law!) ;)

I agree, I think these prices are outrageous. At some point, the law of diminishing marginal returns has to kick in.

Having sailed on both SSMC05 & SSMC06, I have to say, personally, the cost for the first one was a great "value" to me compared to the cost that I paid for SSMC06, which IMO, was a rip off. The two cruises are so different from each other. I would have paid even more for SSMC05 if I had known how fantastic it was going to be ahead of time. And, I wouldn't have gone on SSMC06 if I had known what a letdown it was going to be.

I think for those considering SSMC07, if you are willing to take what DVC has to offer and attend everything they schedule, you may have a good time and feel it's worth your $$'s. To us, it's not. The dropped the ball so much on SSMC06, that at this time, we will most likely never look to book another member cruise . It's not worth it. We too have booked a 7 day for almost the same money as what we paid for SSMC06. We'll sail for longer, probably have just as much fun with our friends and come out feeling happier and more content with our decisions.

And, unless DVC changes things, you won't know exactly who the guest speakers are until very close to your sailing date. Trying to get any information from them prior to sailing was like pulling teeth. In fact, some people had their excursions cancelled on them because we didn't get into Castaway Caye until 10:30 on our first day there --- however, they didn't find that out until very shortly before we sailed, because DVC didn't mention it to us. Also, it wasn't until we were heading to Castaway Caye the second day that they mentioned they would give us a break in cost if we decided to rent items for our 2 days instead of just one. For example, renting bikes the two days would offer a discount on the second day. I've heard on other double Castaway Caye cruises, these things were worked out before hand, yet back when we were booking excursions, in July, DVC wouldn't answer these types of questions for us, and the option to book at a discount for the two days was not available.

I sincerely hope that anyone who decides SSMC07 is for them has an absolutely FANTASTIC time. I hope DVC is reading (and I suspect they are) and learning from their mistakes and shortcomings and putting that bar of expectation back up to where it was for SSMC05.

We did the DVC Cruise in 2003 - had a wonderful time and was looking at next October. I can't believe the prices as I do not have enough points as I am going to OKW in April. There are the 5 of us. There is no way for a 4 day cruise - I would rather spend the money on a 7 day if I could manage it.

Well, I was considering this but now I think I will do some more checking. What is suppose to be so special on a member cruise?
