I was just reading on another board that DL's official holiday opening will be November 16th this year. (Last year, it began over Veteran's Day Weekend)

I know that no one really knows for certain, but being that our dates are from (Sat.) November 10th - 16th (Friday), could we possibly get lucky enough to see both the "Remember" AND "Holiday" fireworks? :)

I assume there would be no fireworks during the week as they prepare for the transition, but I would be in 7th heaven if we were lucky enough to see both. :cloud9:

I went last year from 11/15-11/20 and we still got fireworks it was already decorated for Christmas.

I saw this and was dissapointed too... we planned over Vet weekend for that reason... oh well. Hopefully someone can shed some light.

I didn't know that Veteran's day was the first weekend that our trip began until after we had purchased our plane tickets. I thought I had picked a "slow" time until someone here on DIS mentioned that the holiday began on the 10th. Very poor planning on my part. :sad2:

I love the Christmas decorations, :santa: but I mostly choose to go to Anaheim this time of year because of the weather, crowd level and refurbishment schedule.

I haven't done so well picking dates for our camping trips this year either. There were fishing derbies (very crowded) and rain on 3 of our camp-outs...I'm almost dreading what's in store for our trip to Victoria BC this coming weekend.

Some of the young ones in our group really want to go to the parks when they stay open until midnight and Veteran's Day Weekend will give them that chance. If they're willing to tough out the crowds, then I guess I can. Ridemax may well be the best investment I've ever made. ;)

If we do get lucky enough to see the "Remember, Dreams Do Come True" fireworks over the holiday weekend AND the Holiday fireworks on that Friday before we leave, then maybe my, not so careful planning, will be ok in the end.
