We're still here, but had to post a couple of things! We arrived last Saturday from Oregon and it certainly is MUCH hotter here than I could have ever imagined. We've had kids sick and even one in the ER; however they are doing much better now and in the parks. (Our Northwest summers are warm, but the humidity down here is nuts if you aren't used to it)
Anyhow, also wanted to say what a WONDERFUL time we had tonight at the HDDMR at Fort Wilderness. What a great show, we were right in the center floor and had the best views of everything. Food was ok, but the show made up for any shortcomings. Even my husband who's not a big Disney fan had a great time!
Last Sunday was our first full day and we chose to go to Animal Kingdom. Since I havent' been to WDW for a vacation since 1996 this park is brand new... We walked through the entrance and really fell in love with it. It is absolutely beautiful!! My friends son and I were looking at a frog in a crevasse and as he went to touch it the silly thing decided to jump - and jump it did. Landing right on my nose. I screamed so loud, I think I woke up any of the animals that still might have been sleeping. It was hilarious and something we'll never forget.
We're here until next Tuesday and can't believe how quickly it's flying by, but we do love the parks and comparing them to DL (which I'm spending too much time comparing the rides and not enjoying them enough, so we'll have to just come back!). Anyhow, it's beautiful, the kids are in absolute amazement and love being here. I think I've got the hubby convinced to come back.
