2007 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC07 - October 21, 2007

We are still home and I still have not gone through the suitcases to empty things out. If any of you all know any families going on the Wonder right after us I have tons of pirate toy stuff I don't want to take home and I would love to leave it for someone else to use.

Joanne/Mark&Mary-sorry to hear you all have bad weather to deal with.

The shuttle launch is scheduled for 11:38 a.m. EDT, with a 10 minute window for launch, the launch inclination is 51.5 degrees which will take it up the east coast of the U.S. Depending on where we are at at that time and what the weather is like we might be able to see it. I know I'll be up on the top deck looking for it, and I know it's been seen/video taped from a DCL in the past.

In 2005 I was on the Wonder and the Shuttle was going to take off and the Captain positioned the ship 3 miles off the coast of Port Canaveral so we could see it. It unfortunately got scrubbed at T -20 minutes. I really hope to see it this time.

We are still at home - actually, I am at the office. A couple more hours, then head home to finish doing laundry and start packing.

I am SO far behind it isn't funny. But, one way or the other, we are on that airplane at 6am tomorrow!

What time can we actually check in at PC? My car service doesn't want to pick us up until 10 am at MCO. I wanted to get there a bit earlier so we could hang out and mingle. Please let me know because I thought I knew but I am a bit freaked out now. Thanks.

when I was on my last cruises, about 3 weeks ago and 5 weeks ago, I got there about 9:45 each time and we were directed across the street to the parking lot and at 10 am they let us go over and check in then. So if you get there by 10 am or after you can go right in

We are at our Boardwalk home safe and sound after a very nasty day of driving. We hit some patches of rain where we could barely see 10 feet in front of us. Not fun at all.

Got here about 2:30 and spent the afternoon walking around the food and wine festival. Picked up some things at Epcot for gifts and we are now back in the room. Going to call it an early evening as we have breakfast tomorrow with Thomas Kincade.

Joanne - sorry to hear that you are having trouble with the weather as well. Safe travels to everyone!

Is it true that if you go to the Magic Kingdom tomorrow you can buy the new thomas kinkade painting and it will be signed.

I know the MK is open until 1 and I am thinking of getting off the plane and going right to MK to buy the painting.

Does anyone know if it will definitely be signed as long as you buy it tomorrow??

Looking forward to meeting everyone sunday on the boat!!

So, the MK is open until 1 am?? super. Linda will probably want to see Illuminations at Epcot and I am "supposed" to meet some friends at MK - whatever we end up doing is OK w/me.

well I had a bad day this afternoon. I ran out to do errands and went back to my car after going in the bank. Tried the AC no cool at all. I drove to Todd's work so he could take a look, he confimed it AC was not working. Called Saturn, drove to dealership and hours later and $1100 my ac was fixed - the air compressor went. I was so glad it happened before I left.

Hi all..after working long days, I am almost finished packing..ya hoo..I probably packed too much, but I am not going back to pull out stuff at this point..we leave tomorrow at 5:30AM..the flight might be delayed if we do not get rid of the high winds left over from the storms yesterday in MI & IN...
Mary..I am glad you made it okay..driving in hard rain is worse than a white out with snow ..to everyone at the parks, have a great day tomorrow.I am jealous...CU Sun at 3PM on deck 10.

We are still here too. Leaving tomm for the airport at 7:30am. Should get there about 11:30am. Can't wait to meet everyone! Packing everything in a Space Bag for the flight. Want to have as much space as possible!

Have been tracking her flight online and she is on the west coast right now.

Have about 55 more minutes to go.

And to think I could be asleep right now. I'll have to get her to come in a little earlier next time - we have a big day tomorrow and need some rest

We just returned from HSM on Ice and it was awesome, the kids loved it and didn't want to leave. I even got the DH to come and watch it, he didn't like it but he was there for the kids. I've got to pick up my gown from the tailor tomorrow and get some Bonnine for my mom and then we should be set.

Glad to hear everybody is getting to where they need to be safely. Have a good night and we'll see some of you tomorrow and the rest of you on Sunday.

You getting a gown for the BAll - I'll have to find your s/case and hijack it from you.

Was thinking about wearing the cover-up for my bathing suit to the Ball, but don't think that would be too cool to do.

So I just have a nice pair of slacks and blouse to wear. I haven't worn anything dressy in over four years now.

It will all work out - I'll not worry about it

For all those flying in for the cruise, my flight home to Orlando was rather bumpy due to all the storms to the North of us but Orlando was nice when i got here scattered clouds and about 90 degrees for those arriving from the cold.

Should be pretty nice all weekend.
