2007 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC07 - October 21, 2007

:cool2: Well here we go again we booked for the 2007 members cruise. We had such a great time in 2005 we had to do it again. We will two doors down from last cruise we will be in 2576. We will stay a few days before at the Old Key West. Hope to meet a few old cruisers. CAN"T WAIT

We will be staying at OKW for a week or two prior to the cruise,so would be happy to meet up

I didn't understand all of it either. On that last questionnaire they sent to us, we had to either send in a cc of the receipt or credit card statement showing that we did in fact shop during that specific time period.

For those people who could not prove it, guess they didn't send it in. Thank goodness I kept all my receipts and cc statements. I keep everything for 7 years. Guess that is the paralegal/lawyer in me.

We just didn't get back the amount that we spent, but a division of the amount that the Court awarded as a whole.

I'm involved in another class action suit and will surely keep up with it also.

Hi Kay,
glad to hear you are on the mend.

Remember we look forward to seeing you on the cruise in OCtober.

WIth regard to the story about the cheque.I dont understand why you received more than you were due.Is the system different in the USA,or was it a mistake.

In the UK ,in such a claim the money would be held in a special fund and the balance would probably be kept in escow until all claims were in,or alternatively the payout would only be to the people who claimed for the amounts they originally claimed, and the balance would stay with the company the claim was agianst i.e. in this case K mart. That is my understanding anyway.

GOOD MORNING, CRUISERS

Hope most of you don't have to work today. It is a Federal Holiday.

Hey, Linda: how does Tigger keep jumping on his tail in your avatar. It must be awfully tiring for him :rotfl2:

Tigger is my fav! He's just excited to be going on so many cruises with me this year! Yep, that's it!

I asked a CM I know why Tigger is never on the ship. He told me because he would just bounce right off :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

HI Ashley and Karen

The plan as of now is to go and stay at OLW three days before and three days after the cruise. I hope the weather in the UK is better today than here in Maine we had a little snow. As you see in the roster we will be eating late.
hope to hear from you soon.
Danandnanpirate:

We are probably going to drive down Friday and spend Saturday at a park. Then the three days after. We have never been to the food & wine at Epcot.
So a meet would be fun before and after. I do want to do Universal also. I am hoping my kids will come down from FSU for the weeknd and do Universal with us.

I had to work today, but with it being a federal holiday traffic was great. We live 3 miles from an Air Force base. But the snowbirds are here so the afternoon traffic is a little more crowded.

Have a great evening.

Welcome back Kay and Harry. Glad you guys are getting better and are able to join us in dising again.

Mark and Mary,

Thanks for updating the roster. It's good to see pictures of the people we will be cruising with.

/
just bumping us up a little.

Linda: know you are off on your trip. Have a good time and a safe one.

I was gonna try and surprise you and go also, but Dr(s) would not let me travel yet.

Member Gallery Update!

Now that the weekend is here I finally had time to update the gallery.

I received info from roommates Linda (seaulater) and Kay (krdisneybound). Stop by the gallery and meet them.

To answer Jay's earlier question we are now up to 67 previous cruises between all of us.

Good morning Member Cruisers!

We sail in 39 weeks!

With the upcoming cruise being our first, will this thread die a slow death if nobody keeps updating it? We are hoping to rely on this thread/board for lots of important information as we get closer to the sail date. Thanks..... :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

We will get chattier as the time approaches. Ask any questions you have. There is a lot of knowledge around here. We have not done a four day so I have some too. I am looking forward to not having to shop and pack for formal nights. I wonder how hard it is to get Palo's res with only one sea day?
I love brunch!!!!!!!

Some threads are chattier than others. I've been on some very chatty threads (one called the blabbermouths). :lmao:

As Joannel said there are many previous cruisers here so any questions you may have ask away. It will give us something to talk about for the next 39 weeks.

We were able to get Palo brunch on the 2006 Member Cruise. I was up at 3 am Central time to do it but it was worth it. The one thing that was confusing was a mis-communication between DVC and DCL so it was showing brunch on what is normally the sea day for a 4 day but was CC day for us. So if you booked brunch it wouldn't let you book an island excursion at the same time. It all worked out for everyone but it was a little confusing.

I think everyone was so busy around the Holidays that we didn't post too very much.

As time goes on, there will be more questions "with re: to the cruise".

About 3 months out, we will be busy with posts, no doubt.

Brunch is one of my favorites also. If I don't book it online, when it opens up, I have also been able to book it when we board. Never been a problem

This will be our 3rd Disney Cruise and I am very sad to say we have never done Palo's. Luckly, we will be bringing my parents with us so they can baby sit our baby (DS-he'll be 2 1/2 when we sail) so we can try to go to Palo. So you bet I will be up at 3 am Central time(what time is that in Eastern TZ?)

Northern Virginia (your area) it will be 4 am. One hour ahead of Central time.

I think I'm wrong on times. I think it is 2 am Central and 3 am Eastern.

If I remember correctly it is Midnight Pacific, 1 am Moutain, 2 am Central, and 3 am Eastern. Guess we should figure this out before booking day. :) Sorry for the confusion.

Good morning everyone! Happy Monday. A cold snowy day here today as I head off to work. At least I have this wonderful cruise to daydream about. :)
