2007 Disney Cruise Points

This is as early as I can remember them posting it. Usually it's next month. Thanks.

They appear the similar to the 2006 chart I have. But, they are only thru April 2007 for the Magic, I was interested in the fall cruises, wonder when they will come out?! I guess they are still waiting to see what the Magic is doing over the summer months before releasing it. Guess I am no where close to being able to book it anyway, just was interested to see how much different the point cost was!

We will possibly book a 2007 Magic cruise during our 2006 November 11, 2006 cruise.

The magic will be doing a European cruise next year starting in May. Go over to the DCL board and there is a link for cruise dock list in france-and it shows the magic as a ship scheduled. Very interesting! Angel

Just wondering if anyone could tell me what points per person would be needed for the Jan 4th, 2007 3 night cruise on the Wonder for a Cat 11 stateroom? thanks :)

I'm on that cruise! It's considered regular season, so it's 104 points per person (first 2 ppl).

I booked for Cat. 9 because I have so many extra points from just joining.

Thanks for the info on Cat 9. Glad to see a fellow DIS'er will be on the cruise. I really am looking for the points for a Cat 11 stateroom though. TIA :)

TreesyB did give you the correct points for cat 11. It's 104 points for for each of the first two persons in the cabin. (Cat 9 is 119).

If you have more than two in the cabin, the points required depend on the age.

13+ is 68
6 -12 is 61
3 - 5 is 59
2 and under is 18

Best wishes -

Can you pay for the kids if you don't want to use all of your points? I thought I heard this somewhere. If so, any idea on how much they cost (My kids are 5 and 8)?

You can use both points and cash---the last time we did this was in 2002. I don't know how much the cash portion for 2007 cruises will be but I'm sure MS could help you with that.
edited to add: if you choose the point/cash combination, the cash portion will be payable in full at time of booking.

Can someone help me figure these points out. I see that for the 1st and 2nd person in the cabin the points are higher and then for the 3rd and 4th person the points are a little less. My question is this, What if we wanted to take a 7 day cruise during regular season it would be ME, DH, DD's 18,15,10 and 6 (that's the ages they'll be at the time). So a total of 6 people. The point chart only talks about a 3rd and 4th person, what if you have a 5th and 6th person! I'm trying to figure out if I save up my points for a couple of years if we'll be able to swing this. Thanks

You would need 2 cabins. The largest family suites will hold 5 (cat 4). We opt to get 2 lower priced cabins when we travel with more than 5. It's better this way anyway because you would most likely need the 2 bathrooms with a family of 6. So, in that case, the points would apply for the first two people in EACH cabin. So if you book a 7 night Eastern and want 2 cat 11 cabins, you would have to apply the 1/2 points of 184 (points) to each of the first two passengers in each cabin. Thus, 4 people in your family would cost 184 points each.
Then the other two children will fall under the point cost for the 3/4th person in the cabin depending on their age.

We're doing the January 4th, 2007 3 night cruise too! I was really bummed that the points for this cruise were in regular season, not value since last year's cruise at this time was in value. The points were too much for us so we ended up renting out points and paying cash. We are excited to cruise though!

:woohoo:

I was bummed about the points too, but after putting the deposit down for the DVC, I didn't want to go through hassle of renting out points and paying cash and all that. But I'll be doing the 3 night cruise and then 3 nights at SSR, so I'm just bursting! pixiedust:

also feel free to respond to my post on the DCL board! ;)
