I called to add a few days to my Jan. trip and was asked if I wanted to add the DP. I asked, "Is it available?" YES! $37.99 pp. Previously, MS said it wasn't yet ready to book, but it seems it is now.

I just hung up from MS's and added The DDP to my Dec 31'st to Jan 7th trip $37.99 per day. I asked if it had just come available and the CM said yes, possibly the word has not made it to all CM's.

It's also possible that you're eligible because your checkin (and therefore purchase date) is 12/31.

ETA: I'd be VERY interested to know if OP's trip starts in December. We'd heard that the DDP for 2007 was coming out soon, so maybe this really IS the first news. Hope so, because I was expecting a price increase.

Keep us posted!! I have to add it for Jan 20-27 and was told to call back at the end of the week. When I asked about confirming the price I was told that they didn't know until it opened it for booking.

When were you told that? Maybe you should call and see if your clear to add it now? I hate to waste their time with a question; I have no transactions to do.

I think the OPs trip starts in Dec. I finalized our trip planned for 12/30 to 1/6 with a change in resort. SSR 12/30 to 1/1 - was able to add dining plan. OKW 1/1 to 1/6 - wasn't able to add dining plan. Was told to call back later this month.

Ok I tried to add the DDP on Monday July 31 and was told to call back in a month or so or in the fall. I was surprised as I heard that others had added it. Has anyone added it in the last few days and I really want to get it for our Jan 23 -27 trip home.

You can do it either way, but it's a LOT simpler doing it yourself by just calling Disney Dining. It's quick, easy, and you know it's done.

You'll just need your DVC confirmation number. If you don't have that, they can probably still find the ressie in the computer. With the DVC rental, you won't pay for dining until you arrive. You will also need to produce all of the people on the dining plan at checkin.

It sure would be helpful if some of those reporting success would be much more specific!

Who did you call, where are you staying, and most importantly -- HOW MUCH is the 2007 plan? (Those above who mentioned cost are apparently checking in by 12/31/06, so they're getting the '06 price.)

Add me to the list that has been told NO! I called MS yesterday to make sure we'd requested a crib and to add DDP and was told to call back AFTER THE FIRST OF THE YEAR. Our stay is at our home resort (VWL) in March '07.

Maybe I'll try again......I'd LOVE to know it's already done!

My family and I are coming to the Beach Club Villas Jan 20th- 27th 2007. July 24th I called DVC member services to book meal reservations. I also asked about the DDP which I added then also. The CM quoted me 37.99 per adult and 10.99 per child. Added up my family of 4, gave me the exact price to pay for the DDP at check in, went on to book some meal reservations, everythings great! WRONG!!! I asked to get quotes on airline tickets so within member services I was transfered to a different CM who told me before she proceeds with my airfare info. she sees I have the DDP booked for 2007 that she will have to REMOVE. The rates as of July 24th were not available for 2007. Check back in a couple of weeks I was told. My meal reservations were kept, but not the information that I signed up for the dining. So it seems some CM's may be forgetting not the book the DDP for 2007. So anyone who does have the plan in 2007 may want to really check if they do. It may have come out in the past week. I did call back on the 27th of July and still no prices out then either.

I just heard from a CM at WDW DIning that it is up one dollar to $38.99. I was calling to change an ADR. SOrry I didn't ask about kids prices since ours are still considered infants. Our trip starts the last week in January. Since I'm renting points, she wouldn't let me add it on as was suggested on these boards. So "my" member will have to do it. THe CM didn't have any details about changes to the plan, saying she only just heard about it. SHe did say something about added restaurants though. Also, she said something about the DDP not being officially out until mid-August but that they could start booking them now.

Thanks, Molly. $38.99 was about what I expected; I'm sure they want to stay under $40.

That's disappointing that they told you to have the owner call. I think MS is telling owners exactly the opposite.

I am the OP. I did not get back to this thread, as I was out of town.

My trip commences Jan. 12. Since my ressies start in a studio then switch to a 2-bedroom, the CM told me she had to set up both ressies separately for the DDP. Was she misinformed about the DDP being available?

I just booked the DDP for our check in Jan 23 and it has gone up a dollar (to $38.99). It feels good to actually have it booked and the cost figured out so no worring now and the ADR's are all set so we will get our monies worth. The member services person stated that I would receive an updated confirmation in the mail soon.
