2007/2008 Swap Calendar

BAMB, can you put on the calendar the "Pass It Forward" swap.
Sign ups Sept 4th, Due to me 10/2

It will be based on the TPCShauna's point system. 5 point minimum-no store bought items. Loved it last time as I got some stuff from swaps before my time.

The swapper will send as many 5-point baggies as they want to get back. They will label the bags with their names, after counting how many baggies, I will put the items back in their mailing packaging. I draw the appropriate number from different packagings to mail back to the swapper. If I do this right, no body should get their own baggies back.

A great way to give away the items from swaps past that you know you won't use and get new things you wouldn't get any other way but swapping between swappers. And NO, the items do not need to be the same theme in each baggie.

Last year, I participated in a gift tag swap. It was pretty close to Christmas. I don't remember who the hostess was. I really enjoyed the swap and I used all of the tags. I would love to do this again this year and I would be willing to host it.

Maybe the hostess was bubbasmom? I found my group list but nothing else. Do you think it is safe for me to take this over or should I send her a pm?

It was bubbasmom99 who hosted. I know she's not scrapping as much as she used to so I don't think she will mind if you take over.

It was cutting it close last time -- I think there was a late package maybe? Anyway -- sign -up at end of October due end of November. Does that work for you?

What were the rules for the last one?

I think it was one tag and it had to have TO From on it. 8 in a group. IF you have some thoughts on this, I'd like to hear them. I would prefer 2 tags per person. I don't think it necessarily has to be tag shaped -- a tree shaped tag would be fine. A square too. I'll put this on my to do list and if you don't mind, I'll run it by you to see what you think.

Fantastic Maria. I am so glad everyone is interested in this. I have a call into the Wish coordinator I worked on to ask her a few things to help work on the details for the signups.

This one wouldn't be really hard to do, but you are right, there is a lot going on right now.
What about a early Sept sign up with a due date in early November? These will NOT take as long as multiple elements will. Having them by November will give everyone a chance to use these for Christmas present.

that's exactly what i was thinking. (christmas presents). So should i post an interest only thread or wait until august to do that??

Do it now. This will give folks a chance to see how their schedule will look. There will be lots of going back to school, but once those kiddos are setttled in, us Mommies should have more time for "me things".
