Still in the early stages of planning our first trip. We are going in early January to run the marathon. Looking intensely at the YC. What is everyone else doing/thinking? :flower:

We're also still in the early planning stages. The dates we're looking at are 1/18/06 - 1/28/06 or 1/25/06 - 2/4/06. We usually go in Jan. also but not for the marathon, because of the good deals. We stayed at the YC in 2003 and othere than being close to Epcot didn't like the resort. Too stuffy, although we like the GF a lot, go figure. Right now were looking for a good air fare and then I'll book the room. I've tried booking the room first and have always gotten nailed on the air fare. So the last couple of times I booked the flight first and it's worked out great. Since we're taking our two nieces with us this time we're looking at staying at Pop, we stayed there last time and had a ball. So we thought the kids would like it. Have a great time planning. :firefight

Right now we are booked for POR for Jan. 21 - 30. But if codes come out, we will probably move to a deluxe (not sure which one yet though). I would love to stay at either AKL or Contemporary (just to be on the monorail). We booked through Dreams Unlimited.

Sandra

We are booked at Shades of Green for early March. There will be about 20 of us going. Sooooo......we have a lot of planning to do!!!!

We're planning our 15th anniversary trip -- 3 nights somewhere (were thinking GF Concierge as a splurge, but it takes a WHOLE LOT of DVC points to do it and I'm having second thoughts) and then 5 at the BWV. We'll be there Oct. 10th for 8 nights. :teeth: Can't book anything 'til November -- DVC rules. ;)

DisznEeyore - I'm also planning a trip for my 15th anniversay!! I told dh that's the least he could do for me for putting up with him that long!!

As to the op we are going Sept. 28 - Oct. 6 and hoping to stay at WL! I'm also considering a split stay between POR and renting DVC points for WLV.

The only thing that's bad about starting to plan this far ahead is that I keep changing my mind about where I want to stay!! I keep reading great reviews about different resorts and start thinking I should stay at every one! :guilty:

Anyway, happy planning everyone!!!

We are planning our normal after Thanksgiving trip again. Since I have done the values and moderates I think next year is our step up to the big boys and staying at WL

We have two trips planned for 2006. January for the marathon. We are going nuts trying to figure out where to stay. We always stay at the GF (which we love) but want to try something else for this trip. I'm trying to talk to people who have done the marathon to get their opinions. We have thought of the WL, Poly, YC, or maybe trying one of the moderates.

July, 2006 we'll be back at the GF and we always do a split stay somewhere (this year its HRH and Nick Hotel) but don't know where we'll do the split stay for July 2006 yet. Decisons, decisons. I think I'll book our trips when we return from our July 2005 trip and hopefully I'll have a better idea of where we want to stay.

DH and I are planning our 4-year Anniversary at WDW in May 2006!! We are still deciding on what resort to stay at. I want to stay at a Deluxe resort, but DH is wanting to stay at a moderate to save the $$. We will see how this all pans out. :teeth:

I am leaning towards the YC, becuase we love EPCOT so much. It will be our last trip to WDW for awhile as we are going to start a family soon after that trip. At least that is the plan. Maybe I can get pregnant at WDW!!

Will be going in June and December 2006 - booked our rooms with Dream Come True Vacations - hoping to get good AP rates!

Were planning Sept.2006, thinking Port Orleans French Quarter, it will be our first on site trip! :smooth:

late June into early July 2006 - 21st anniversary trip.
Booked BC - Garden View
Hoping for AAA or better AP rates

Called WDW myself.

We're going from Oct 21-26. Staying at BWV but haven't booked yet. Have to wait until Nov to do that. But I have HDDR already booked. This trip will be 2 moms and our 2 dd's..my dd will turn 13 at HDDR and the other girl will turn 13 the day we leave. Big celebration!!!

We'll be there January 1-8, 2006. We'll be staying 5 nights at Old Key West (renting points from a DVC member here on the DisBoards) and 2 nights at Wilderness Lodge. I called last week and booked WL standard view. AKL standard view was already sold out for the 6th to the 8th, which I believe is the weekend of the marathon! Good Luck!

we are planning early too. looking to book oct 14-21 2006 at AKL savanna view room. we are going to book through AAA. too many good perks with AAA to pass. cant wait til then

We have a room booked at the contemporary from April 14-23. Probably will be packed, but it is the kids school vacation week, so what can we do. Booked the reservation through CRO and will wait to see what happens once the real rates and seasons are published. Hopefully will get some discount. Now it is getting close to 330 days out so will soon start looked at airfares. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

We are going Jun 24th - July 1st. :Pinkbounc I've booked rooms at ASMo through Dreams Unlimited. We are taking SIL and niece for their first trip. I'm still trying to decide whether to buy an AP and use the discounts and try to squeeze in another trip for just DH and me. There will be 6 this trip and we would like to try just the 2 of us one time.

We are booked for February 25 - March 3. Six nights at POR (family of 5). Call me crazy because I know lots of people love this resort, but I'm just not excited about staying there. I am from the New Orleans area. So, when I leave town I don't want to be reminded of home. I'm hoping for a code to move up to a deluxe resort. At least having my ressies made makes the trip seem more real. My countdown clock tells me I have 284 day :cheer2: and counting.

Well, I haven't gotten the GO AHEAD AND BOOK from DH yet, but I am tentatively planning a trip for the end of January 2006. Thinking that I'll be able to convince him if I make it our *10th Anniversary Trip* :teeth: Not sure where we'll be staying yet.. It's a toss up between 3 resorts. IF my FIL goes with us, we'll likely stay (at least) part of the time at Shades of Green (military resort-- big rooms, low rates) and part of the time somewhere else. I'd love to stay at PORFQ . DH and I stayed there when it was Dixie Landings on our honeymoon. We're also interested in one of the All Stars.. probably Movies, for the kids of course! I'm waiting for the AP rates to come out, and will most likely make our decision then. I could go ahead and book w/out the rates, but didn't think it was right to book at two hotels w/the intention of having to cancel one. Anyone done that??
