Took long enough!!! Maybe I should have talked more and read less.

Anyway I am officially not a newbie anymore!!!

Okay now I need to learn how to have cute things for my signature This one is my favorite, 'cause she is my favorite villian

Ok, I am only saying this to make you, Monstro and Courtney feel better, never the less it is true:

I was delighted to actually get my docs package because it was a signal to pack. The actual papers themselves were kind of let down, Two Bahama forms and some luggage tags do not compare to the fever I get from reading these posts each day...Your guys are way more fun than silly old papers!

Glad you got your docs! I guess I didn't imagine how they will look now with the online forms. Last 2 times it was a little book with the forms to fill out and it and last time it also included a stuffed Mickey with magnets in his hands and feet! The Mickey was thrown in by our TA for Tyler. I'm looking forward to this one because it's a character watch this time! Hoping for the Mickey watch.

Just bought my crocs last night to wear on the cruise after reading all the hype on another thread. I have to say, they are the MOST comfortable things my feet have ever experienced! I wore them all over the house last night and just HAD to wear them to work today to see how they'd feel walking around all day. VERY nice! But I might return Tyler's before he sees them because they're just really clunky shoes and I can see him tripping over them, still being in that uncoordinated little kid phase.

Our family DH, DW and DD4 (Princess Beth) have decided to join the ranks on this cruise. My DW has been on me to go on a vacation and this was the choice. This will be our DD first cruise, but she has been to WDW 2 times and will be more than excited when we tell her. There is not a lot of time to review all the posts, but look forward to learning lots. We will be flying in from New Mexico on Saturday and taking the Disney Shuttle to the Port. I am very interested in learning what activities there will be for my DD4 (Princess Beth).

I posted two days ago, and there hasn't been a post since then. I just went back in and posted the link to here and told them if they REALLY wanted to be where the action was... to come on over!!

Now, if only any of them choose to look at that board. (They have less than three pages of posts, where we have 62 right now... Dang, we're noisy!)

Since we're just a couple of weeks out (and since reality will make this thread slowly drift away), I wanted to post something about the Med cruise we're on next summer. I don't know if any of you are still considering going on the Med, but if you are, think about the June 27th, 10 night one.

We've got a thread on Disboards thats pretty much as much fun as this one, and a GREAT group of people are going. We also have a website that one of the gals put together, along with a logo for our cruise. It was dubbed the "no respect" cruise, since it was one of the last to get a thread going.

Dianne and I are going with our California buddies, who we met on the western Caribbean Disney cruise two years ago. We're then meeting up at Disneyland Paris with Russell & Judy, who you'll all meet on our September 2nd cruise.

And just like this thread, one of the guys in our group has "The ROY" suite, and will be hosting a party for the DISBoarders!

If you get on the 09/02 and get the Med Fever, join us next summer!

I did see your post there and wondered if you had gone over to the dark side! KIDDING! I'll stick with our group here because "the more, the merrier."

To answer the plane question: We get in at 12:45, as long as the strike doesn't delay us. VERY worried about that. And there's ONLY ONE earlier flight to switch to from our city which would only get us in 1/2 hour earlier. Not early enough to spend $100 to switch both of us. Considering looking at just flying out of Detroit, but would have to get up in the middle of the night to drive there if there's an earlier flight. It's about an hour and a half drive, plus getting there 2 hours before the flight. Would have a VERY cranky pirate on my hands if we have to do that, but I think he'd do fine because when I took him to Orlando a couple months ago, we had to leave home at 4am and he was running on the adrenaline of excitement, so didn't get grouchy, so we might be fine.

Sorry for rambling, but confusion and panic are sinking in!

Opinion question, guys. We talked a while back about bringing wine from our various regions for the Sunday afternoon get together. I had planned on bringing a couple of bottles from local vineyards in Kentucky & Tennessee.

With the embargo on liquids on planes, I'm not sure I want to take a chance on checking some bottles of wine.

Anybody with experience in this?

My wifes best friend once checked a styrofoam cooler full of bar-b-que and burgoo on a flight to Houston. Was NOT a pretty site upon arrival, and the fellow whose garment bag it leaked on was NOT a happy camper...

(PS..if you don't know what burgoo is, you're missing out...)

I think I must have missed a post or series of posts. Or, I am getting old and, as you everyone knows, the memory is the first to go. (I don't remember what is the second. ). But, your post references a party or get together. I know about the one at the Promenade on Saturday at 2:30 (if I recall correctly), did I miss another get together?

OK. Please disregard....I just put 2 and 2 together. I guess there's a reason friends often ask me, "Are you sure you're not blond and just dye your hair brown?" NO OFFENSE to anybody! Please don't get angry at that comment.

Go back to the July 8-11? posts, Brian invited all of us to a party in his suite, including you. Send him a private email and they will send you an official party invitation. I just checked and 55 of us have confirmed. (Joshua121301).

About the airline. Some carriers will let you fly standby on the early flight for free if you ask that morning. Air tran for one does, but I think SWA does not.

Morning all!!!

Hope everyone is doing well! We are officially two weeks out!!! Have you guys filled out your forms online??

Tom did our July cruise that way and said it was very easy. It made check in super simple...and we even had a child traveling with us that wasn't our own!

As to talking the Med., we are cruising July 28th 11 night...so we have two options to tease those of you not committing yet! BigBlueMan in June and us in July.

By the way BigBlueMan, we are also DVC members!!! Anybody else??? I noticed you were OKW in '95...back when it was THE DVC! We too have OKW as our first home resort. It got addictive, and we had to up our points a couple of times.

How is everyone's packing going???
