I am dismayed to see Vanessa is not on there....I don't think it ever has been....not sure that I truly would want to get to the V's again, nor really have something so destructive named the same...but I remember growing up and always checking to see if my name made the list!

I didn't make any of those either - Van (which in this case is used as a male name) would be closest to Vanessa and Sam (also used as a male name) would be closest to Samantha.....other DD and Charming are out as well!

DD10 made the 2010 list, DS17, the 2011 list.

Hoping neither one actually makes it to the hurricane level.

No but I didn't expect to. Roberta is not on any of the lists and a female R storm would have to be retired for them to consider a new R name.

Some how I think the chances of Roberta ever getting on the list are slim to none.

BTW, my son's name, Chris, is on there.

My sisters is there on another year, and my mom, Chris, for this year.

I don't think my name will ever make it. Not that I care.
