2006 DVC Member Cruise - SSMC06 - October 22, 2006

We are in, category 5, cabin 7072. We got through using the 407 number. Got through at 9:20, on hold until 9:45, transaction completed at 9:55.

Okay guys what Insurance should we use? I thought I have read before that there were some other insurances companies that were a lot cheaper than what Disney offers. Wasn't going to get any, but MS highly recommands it. Now what if a hurricane comes through. Would Disney let us rescheulde or is that where Insurance would save us.

edit to say, neithermind, I just did a search on the boards and got lots of Insurance names. I was so excited after talking to Ms, I posted that question, before thinking not to be lazy, and dig it up.

How do I pacify my college age children who feel abandoned because this will be our second cruise next fall - both w/o kids?

My oldest will be in college next year and wont be going with us. He wont be happy and I will probably not either, lol.

That's interesting. We made it in. The 407 number picked up in 14 minutes. I hung up the 800 number at 1 hour and 37 minutes on hold.

We're in room 6628. I wanted to be more midship, but beggers and all.

Did find out that we can cancel up to 75 days out with no penalty--which is a good thing for us.

Thanks to whomever posted that 407 number.

Olaf we will trade you. We were one of the first ones in and asked for cat 6 aft and was told there was nothing left in the back so we have 6562

My DD who is a HS senior laid some serious guilt on us last night. We already have an 8-day cruise booked for Septembe on the Carnival Legend with friends whose daughter is my DD's best friend. It was our way of celebrating the empty nest. When the we heard about the member cruise, it was a great opportunity to use up 2004 points that will be expiring 12/1/2006. So DD thinks we are tpp eager tp get her out of the house

We are confirmed! We actually got on pretty quick -- calling from California. It took the drama out of 2005 Member Cruise when we finally got through they were sold out and we were on wait list but made it on board. Got on at 6:05 and started reservations at 6:20 (CA time). Looking foward to the Member Cruise. Anxious to find out who Jim Lewis and Ted Watson have in store for us. DVC if you are reading these posts, Roy Disney would be excellent. Hi Mark and Mary and Amy too.

Adding the logo to your signature.

The easy way, just highlight it in mine, right click choose copy.

Then go to usercp/edit signature and add it.

If that doesn't work, you'll need to go to the website where I have the line you can paste in to do the same.

Well, how does it look?? (my new siggie!!) Very excited to be going on our first member cruise. It will be my DD14 (by then) and I. Sounds like we just missed out on those SPH rooms we were trying for!! We are in 7619 (cat 11) - will be checking out that not-so-secret verandah on 7 aft.

Thanks for the new 2006 logo. Hope DH and I can add new buttons for the SS Member cruise. Anyone had room 2068 before last member cruise we had 2574.

Finally got through. Hung up the 800 number after 1hr and 15 minutes repeated dialing on two phones and not getting through.
Tried the 407 number posted on the boards and voila got through within 6 calls
at 10.02a. took 45 minutes to speak to someone and confirm the booking.
Got cabin 6618. Not my first choice, was looking for a cat 7 or cat 6 mid ship or forward. But I'm still thrilled.
Used all my points. We're also booked for the Boardwalk Villas and Beach Villas pre and post cruise. Unfortunately DD will be missing 1 week of school. But I can't help it I've got to go.
