Here's a question for all of you who were on SSMC05. Do you remember anyone from the DIS who wanted to get on who didn't? I know Cheryl and Todd got on the waitlist (and got on) but I don't think they were calling in first thing in the morning. Anyone remember? Cheryl - were you guys trying early or am I remembering correctly that you had something going on that morning and by the time you called in later in the day it was sold out?

Did Verandahman get called like 2 weeks before sailing date? Did they get on the list the day we booked or after the fact?

I knew no one on the DIS before the SSMC05!! Look what that thread did to me. Seriously, I "knew" very few people on the DIS. I would see some of the same people post on other threads, forums, but there were very few that I felt I knew. Now, I have a lot of friends here.

So, to answer your question, I'd have to say "no".

Verandahman did get called just a couple weeks before we sailed. I think he had just returned from a cruise and couldn't do two back to back.

He's going to like it to. When my nephew was little and Finding Nemo just came out he called my house and asked to speak with Uncle Bruce the Shark. He called him that for like a year.

At the time of booking for SSMC05 Andy was no longer a DVC member. Then he bought back in and got put on the waitlist. I think it was a couple of months after booking. He did get called a few weeks before the cruise but had just come back from WDW. I think he had also just had surgery.

No, just live 'dere - I work over in Macomb County for an agency to remain nameless.

Karen should be awake now (nightowl - sleeps the day away and posts at night). She's come up with an interesting device. A weight and pully system tied to her "dialing" finger. I'm planning on wearing my vest home so when she pokes me in the finger after reading this she won't do any permenant damage.

I forget what time I started calling. But I had been sick the night before and had forgotten to tell Todd to wake me up. I was at the top of the waitlist.

Trust me - no waitlist hopefully for me this time. All my alarms will be set to 7am!! And I will have my 3 phones calling!!

Jeff - we've done aft for the last number of cruises and really like it.

Cheryl - thanks for putting up the link to chat. Friday night is cruise chat, Sunday night is DVC chat. I'm sure both of them this week will have a lot of people talking about SSMC06.

Cindy - yes deck 6 should be avoided at all costs. Especially the cat 7's - stay away from them - they are bad.

Deck 6 will be our backup, if we don't get deck 5, I think. But, if I do get the room I want on deck 5, I'll have to give Diana a personal tour, so she doesn't get lost getting there.
