Has anyone received their DCL Castaway Club gift Linda (seaulater) wrote about yet??? :confused3

Georgie - I don't think any of us will. At least not until after our cruise. I belive she got it for recently being on a cruise. So the only ones from this thread who would get it would be her and Gail.

I believe Mary has family in Delaware she is going to see, then as Diana said up to AC for the concert. She then heads to Virginia to pick up her room mate Karen, and then down to WDW! That Mary sure does a lot of diving. :drive:

That would explain it. Barry. I remember when we first got married my wife was a big Manilow fan. I think I broke her of that habit :rotfl:

For all you scrapbookers out there (or for the newbies), check out www.twopeasinabucket.com and click on PeaNut Gallery. Then, you can do a search on "Disney Circle Journal" and you'll see several different ones that people have done.

Thanks! I'm trying to catch up before I run up to the school to volunteer so I'll look at the site later.

Congrats! I wish ours would get here. I'm beginning to feel like I do on booking morning when everyone is getting in and I'm still on hold.

I think I need to go out and get us costumes...we were wearing pirate tshirts to dinner...is this ok???

We are wearing pirate tshirts to dinner. You will have no problem. And, if you do, tell them that we already did it on early seating, as I remember that you are late seating. :rotfl: Kind of hard to bust us after the fact. ::cop: Right, Curt?

I think that almost anything goes for Pirate night at dinner.

Don't be surprised if you get some very strange looks from the other customers :lmao:

Why?? Is that odd? Don't you do it with everything you buy?

I usually do, but last night, I had a stuffy nose so it wouldn't have worked.

It's really bad, though, when you open up the bag of flour. It tends to make a mess all over the place leave white dust all over my hair & face.

Thanks Mary. :goodvibes

That's what I was thinking as well when she mentioned it. I know others on the 11 day cruise also received something.

Sure does! We were going to do this for Tom if we didn't find a pirate: shirt.

Ours are simple too - pirate shirt for me (skull and crossbones) and the same for Matt (have to find it) and then jeans or black pants!

It's 11:00pm on the east coast, do you know where your brain is? Mine is heading for bed. Try to keep it under 20 pages for my morning catchup.

Thanks guys,

STOP RAISING THE POST COUNT

I can no longer keep up with you crazy MEN!

Of course, but they keep yelling at me when I open the milk in the grocery store to smell if it's still good.

Cindy - that sounds like a story in itself. Whatever would cause a security guard to react like that?

Oh, it was a story in itself.

Let's just start by saying I bet she never makes that mistake again. :rolleyes1

When I took the kids in August, we stayed at VWL. We had no problem coming through the guard shack, most guards looked to see we had a valid parking pass and waved us through with a smile. Then one afternoon, it was raining Mickey & Minnies (can you imagine, we have cats & dogs here ;) ) and I pulled up to the guard shack. Instead of waving us through, she came out and asked for my drivers license and/or room key. I said and pointed that I had a parking pass in my windshield but she was adament, I needed to prove we were staying there. When I finally dug it out and was soaked myself from the rain, she pointed to the other lane, telling me I could go through that lane in the future with my room key, rolled her eyes at me, turned her back on me and muttered "welcome home". :furious:

When we got into the lobby, I sent the kids to the arcade and spoke to a manager. I could understand it if it was the norm to be asked to prove I stayed at the resort, but this wasn't the case. Even the manager said they always use the parking pass unless it's late at night. I can fully understand that. I truly think that I ticked the guard off by pulling up and having her have to come out of the guard shack in the rain, and she was trying to make me pay for it.

When we got home, I also wrote a letter to guest services and had a long conversation with a cast member who took the time to call me and apologize for her actions. :thumbsup2

It was less than a perfect Disney moment.

:surfweb: Good morning everyone,

As we begin our (seemingly) never ending odyssey towards the decks of the Disney Wonder and SSMC06 we come one day closer to our goal. To reach this goal we endeavor ourselves to fill the day with the ranting, ravings, (in some cases outright droolings for the poor employees of FedEx and Hooters). We will extol well our talents for scrap booking, our seemingly endless knowledge of cinema, and just getting through the trials and tribulations of suburbia. We share our joys and sadly our heartaches, knowing that through this portal there are other wandering tribes of mousekateers who will join together in support and cheer.

BUT WAIT, tribes people (PC) there is soft glow coming from the south east (N28o22’38.24” W81o32’10.75” for the technos, like myself). The glow brightens with each passing day, minute, hour & second (12d/8m/59h/59s) we gravitate towards it like moths to a candle, where our pocket book and wallet burst with childish bliss in the pyre. Our quest to leave reality behind for carrot cake, crème brule, begets and Mickey bars ends soon, why just in the time it taken to read this we are 3 minutes closer.

So I bid you well greetings fellow tribes people and give hopes that your trail today will be less stressful, and that a smile will cross your face and the theme song to It’s a Small World will pass your lips at least once today.

Not really sure if I understood ALL of that but I did recognize drooling and HOOTERS in the same sentence so it must have been a good post!

Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah Tip Of The Day

Today's tip is to help you stay healthy on the cruise. You've all heard of Norwalk - some of us more than we'd like. :) While there hasn't been a Norwalk outbreak recently but the lessons learned from it can help us all.

The key? Wash your hands, wash your hands, wash your hands! Seems simple but it is amazing how many people don't do it.

So here's your tip to make sure you and your child are washing long enough. Water, soap, start rubbing and then sing "Happy Birthday". Yep by the time you sing the birthday song you've rubbed long enough to get rid of those germs then rince and dry.

So "happy birthday" and here's to a great germ-free cruise!

Thats the best tip you've given, I wouldnt want any one to be sick on this cruise, of after it!
