We survived Cameron's party.
It was certainly an eye opening experience.
5 boys and myself. We started with lunch which cost me almost $140 -- they had a special which included a $10 game card with each meal. The sad thing was that most of the meals went right into the garbage. One of the boys left an entire cheeseburger, untouched except for the huge glob of ketchup he put all over it -- he said his mother fed him lunch before he came.

Another boy ordered a shrimp platter and didn't eat anything but a couple of french fries.

Another boy ate about 1/2 of his cheeseburger but managed to drink down several sodas.

Another ate a couple of bites of chicken fingers.

Cameron & I were hungry so we finished the burger Cameron had and the salad I had. It still was hard to swallow the bill in the end, knowing that it went right in the garbage. Then the waiter asked if anyone wanted dessert and a couple of boys moaned and groaned when I said we were going to pass.
They did enjoy the games -- but again, one of the boys went through his $10 game card in about 2 minutes.

I guess when your 10, there isn't any thought into making it last, although the other boys didn't have a problem.
I recharged each card for another $10. Cameron had a great time, which is what I have to focus on. I also know this is the last birthday party he's having. Last year we went to WDW for the long weekend, I'm wishing we did the same this weekend.
A couple boys in the group were loud and obnoxious. No matter how many times I asked them to respect the others in the restaurant or to lower their voices or to stay in their seats, they continued to act like little morons. I'm so glad that Cameron is not like that -- if I ever hear that he acts like that with a group of friends, we're going to have a long discussion.
One of the boys was invited to sleep over tonight -- Cameron's choice, thankfully (I really should thank him for that decision

). Then all of the sudden driving home, it turns out that all the boys are thinking they are going home to pack their gear and head back over. Nicely, but firmly, i squashed that idea rather quickly -- as I'm not prepared to have several boys sleep over tonight. Or at least that was my excuse.
Cameron just asked if we could go see Open Season. I'm not sure if I have it in me anymore tonight -- I can just see me sleeping through the entire thing. Maybe I'm just use to little kids -- like my daycare who cooperate and have nice manners in public.
I haven't decided if we're going off to the show tonight or not. But, if the other boys decide to take it upon themselves to show up at the door for a sleepover, you can bet we'll be out the door in a flash.
