MaryJ - prayers coming your way. :lovestruc

This is the news every woman dreads hearing. Your day is shattered as thoughts flood in. The sound is deafening, and then very silent... Just take one day at a time, and don't try to look ahead. If you ever want to talk, feel free to send a PM my way. I had to walk this road 7 years ago. One day at a time was all I could handle. I never had to face more than I could tackle at that time. :cloud9:

Same here. :sad2: I was on the phone with Stacy (making the most of my tax dollars again ;) ) and I gasped when I saw the UPS truck. He was just slowing down to turn the corner, so no docs today. At least I was on the phone with someone who understands my pain! :lmao:

You know I'm just a phone call away or 15 minute drive (20 if I hit a lot of reds) to feel your pain with you!!!

Hi everyone. I'm still trying to catch up (I'm on page 1271) but wanted to post this now in case I don't get caught up by Thursday. I am went in for my yearly exam two weeks ago and got "squished." All you ladies, and probably most of the guys, know what I mean. Yesterday I got a call to come back in on Thursday for a follow up ultrasound. Apparently, all is not as it should be. I do have a family history of breast cancer (mom and sis) so this is a scary time for me. Your thoughts and prayers would be appreciated. :sad1:

Of course tons of Prayers and Pixies Dust. pixiedust:
I hope everything turns out ok.

Not Cameron -- he would be "see you at midnight". Then we'd order room service and sit out on the verandah chatting. It was fun.

I'm thinking of giving Cameron the option of going to the pools by himself this year. Being they are 3' and 4', I'm pretty confident that he'd be okay. Any thought of allowing Nick to do that also?

That would be fine. Nick's had a couple of summers of swim lessons so I'm not overly concerned. Especially since he just needs to stand up to get his head above water.

Well, I just got home and no docs, so I guess UPS didn't stop by my house!!!

I was really bummed that was the class that Walker was placed in, but I can't say I feel that way now that we're a month into the school year. Walker doesn't seem to have any problems with it, although he does prefer one of the teachers over the other. The teachers sent home a chart for the entire year as to which one is going to be in the classroom on which days and on some mornings, Walker will check it. Or, when I suggest he checks it, he already knows which teacher is slated to be there -- I'm thinking they communicate that to the kids.

So far, so good. I know it was odd, but I'm thinking one of the other 1st grade teachers who is teaching by herself would have been a worse class to be in -- at least from the rumors I hear.

Whatever works best for Walker is what counts.
It still just seems odd.

Regarding *My* Detroit Tigers:

For those that feel that the boys will go down meekly, without a fight ~

(That's for Chris... :teeth: )

Now, in all seriousness ~
Yes, I realize that we may not make it past the first round. I may be a fanatic, but I'm not a fool. But, you know what? I honestly don't care. I rooted for the Tigers when they lost 119 games in 2003, and I've rooted for them throughout their 95 wins this season. My team will ALWAYS be the Detroit Tigers - no matter what. This season has been a gift for those of us who never lost faith in them (all we were hoping for this season was .500 ball!!!). I have never been embarrassed to wear the Olde English D, but I have never been more proud. They are a wonderful group of guys - and I have had the distinct pleasure of meeting a number of them - who truly embody the spirit of this amazing game. No one can take this magical season from us - win or lose. We deserve to be one of the eight playoff teams. As Nate Robertson (tonight's starting pitcher) said in yesterday's press conference, "We'll walk out on the field with our heads held high, and we'll walk off the field with our heads held high".

Now, it's time to go follow my 163rd game of the season (not counting Spring training, of course... ).

Play Ball!!!

(And Go Tigers!!!)

See if you were born and raised in Chicago you would make a perfect Cubs fan, and I mean that as a compliment!

Good luck to the Tigers!
