Or, send it home with your DIS friend, and have her bring it back in 3 weeks. Yes, Gail & John brought us their costumes and dress clothes in their garment bag to bring back in 3 weeks. They just had TOO much stuff and not enough room to bring it all home. :thumbsup2

Sorry Gail - I just had to tell that tale!!!

Makes sense to me. That's the great thing about DIS friends - especially locals. Like when we fly down and send the buttons ahead to our friends in Daytona.

Our cruise docs are being sent today!!! Just got off the phone with DCL - they had to call for an address because we have a P.O. Box and they can only send the docs UPS.

23 days to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Debbie

She came home from grandma's and said she loves her room and will always take care of it. From now on anything left out is getting thrown out.

OH SM, I Got some Ocean front property that is right up your alley, near Flagstaff.

WOW--That means I leave in 19 days!! :scared1:

That sends me into panic mode for some odd reason.
We're leaving in 13 days.

Wanna talk about panic? I was hyperventilating last night thinking about EVERYTHING that must be done before we catch the plane. I think I freaked Ian a bit at first, but then he came over and gave me some great hugs.

Well, I've been MIA.

Work has been CRAZY! I worked close to 80 hours last week, and put in 16 hours yesterday!

I arranged for a great surprise for my Parents. They are coming up from Florida to stay with our kids during our cruise. They are driving up on Thursday Oct 19th. It is my Mom's 75th birthday this week so my sisters and I chipped in to get her a nice gift. On top of that my sister from California and my sister from NJ are flying in as a surprise on the 19th so we will have a surprise party for my Mom! They will stay the weekend while we are away (my sister Kate, from California, is staying until Tuesday, so she can help my parents with the kids) It is the first time since 1999 that we will all be together!

I can't wait!

3 weeks away!!!
What a great surprise for your mother. I'm sure she'll be thrilled to see all her kids together, even for a short time.

Bad mood doesn't even cover it - I feel like a colossal idiot right now. Since Minnesota lost earlier today, we could have clinched the Central Division with a win tonight. At the last minute, they released some tickets for tonight's game. "Let's go to the game! We can see them clinch!", I said. (Keep in mind that Curt works at 6am on Sunday...) So, I bought tickets, and Curt met me at the stadium. After a 90 minute rain delay, we got our hineys handed to us. Curt left the stadium just after midnight... :sad2:

It was not exactly the jubilant evening that I had envisioned.

(I'm sorry, Curt. This was one of my dumbest ideas to date...) :guilty:

What me wifey refuses to ackowledge is (1) she is not dumb:teacher: , she is one of the exceptions to the rule, brains AND, well never mind. (2) I STILL LIKED going to the game - rain or shine.

Do I sound like a person who whould sit in 50 degree weather in the rain

surrounded by drunks

JUST to pacify someone? NO you say? CORRECT is what I say! (GRANTED - what igit builds a stadium in a northern state without a roof??? HELLO

they're retactable now!!!)

Hi there everyone.... I have been Missing in Action to this thread for a while and I feel so lost... :guilty: I have been on all the Disney Wedding Websites working on getting ready for my January WDW wedding and I lost site of the fact that the DVC cruise was this soon. Planning goes into full swing about 4 monthes out so between a planning session at WDW and revising first Budget drafts, I have been a bit lost in that world. I wanted to pop in and say Hi to everyone and that I can't wait to get the cruise started in 3 weeks. I relized the other day that we have not gotten our Docs yet, but I guess that we can expect them anyday. We are already planning our next cruise after that and it will be a 3 day on Jan. 18, 2007 as part of our Honeymoon... Disneymoon I should say since it is 2 days at AKL and then off to get on the Wonder.... I have soooo much to look forward to in the next few monthes... But I won't say all this doesn't come with it's stresses. Weddings bring Family drama is all that I have heard and boy has that been true for this wedding... OH well comes with it all I guess.... But once again Hello and I can't wait to meet you all on my first members cruise.... :woohoo:

Ok, that was fun. I logged off:badpc: at 4:40pm, got off work, drove to the Tigers game and came back to work (I think I slept in there somewhere... just a blur really) and there was still 10 pages to catch up on.

Close.... The leak has happened in that there's an architectural firm that had two pictures up on their site of a design contracted by DVC for a resort at the Contemporary. I don't remember where the site was or I'd link it.

Here's a pic.

Interesting looking resort. Will prob stay there but not interested in buying there. We want our 80 points from BCV. Might be talked out of our 150 at HH (never stayed there - prob don't know what we are missing) but DEFFINATELY want more at BCV.

A Whole post without mentioning baseball!!

We started with 150 as well. Then my dear MIL "gave" us some more (100) which was really really nice of her BUT I have to come up with the monthly dues :-( It didn't used to be that much of a problem but now that hubby's business is sinking...well....If I must I will rent them out to make back at least the dues portion thereby justifying keeping them at all for the time being. I hope I never have to give up my DVC. Marla we may have to put up with alot of business talk at our dinner table between our two hubbys.

Ilene, I'm not sure if I missed this but did you take that 2nd job? I was just wondering. :scratchin

Hey everyone, I'm Stitch's friend who's going on this our first member cruise. Just want everyone to know that I am so not technically inclined and finally have just taken the plunge, all the stars have lined up, remembered our password and yes it looks like i have learned how to post something. Reading through all the postings has been great. I can't wait to meet you all on board. I do have a lot of questions that i hope to be fielding on this sight. One question i'd like help with is that we are looking at float, snorkel and bike rental for the island and i'm just wondering if you all think that's a good idea to sign up for? I mean yes it looks like the kids have their own activities but I would hope My husband and I can tear them away for some family time. OK here goes ...I'm submitting my first post. Hope it gets there!

Welcome Aboard Cruise Mate!

Glad you've figured out the posting thing. Now we would love to have you try it more!

DH and I will be playing with the snorkeling and mik riding. We love that!

Thanks for the welcome...I feel so weird with post number 1 under my belt! I guess I will check back in later tonight. It seems like you all post all hours of the day... which is great...but is there a specific time/night that everyone tries to shoot for to be on at the same time?
