Jacqui - Chris is right. The picture is only for the website so that we can all put as many faces to names before we go. If you don't give us one that is ok. The button will look much like the one Mark has up on the site (only the 2006 version). :)

Thanks for the quick reply--now off to try to keep some level of peace in the water polo game where both teams really really "do not play nicey nicey in the pool"

What are you starting to adjust your internal clock to east coast time? I think it is a little bit early yet, but if you want to...

Chris

I get ready and then get DD up for school and she gets ready. Off to school for her and off to excercise for me (or work).

So, I am up at 5:30 am and to bed by 11:30 pm. I know I don't probably sleep enough. Isn't that what vacations are for?;)

So today is one month from the wedding (in date - you know 10/28 vs 9/28) and I posted this on another board but I thought you guys would appreciate it as well as so many of you have helped contribute in many ways to our celebration!

I am just in awe that we get married in 4 weeks and that we leave in 3. This "ride" as I want to call it has been amazing and now that we are in the home stretch I am just in awe...

I'm in awe of how much I love Matt, of how I wondered just 6 years ago this week if I would ever find another person to love again and while it took a "broken road" I did and it's amazing.

I am in awe of how blessed we both are to have parents that are still married and have allowed us to follow our dreams. Both of us moved away from our families yet we are both closely tied to them and its such a wonderful relationship all around.

I am in awe that through the Disneymooners I have made some wonderful, life long friends some of whom will be joining us for the wedding in person, some of whom will be with us in spirit and many of you who will be waiting for those photos and sneek peaks. Many of these friends we know will be in our lives for a long time and both Matt and I look forward to our future trips together - whether they be to Disney or to an island or a villa somewhere!

I am in awe that we were able to negotiate Matt's finals, our families and work schedules to alllow us to sail on the 2006 DVC Member Cruise the Sunday - Thursday before the wedding that will allow us to relax from the pre wedding stress (yes, even though we are organized we are both stressed) and get connected again right before the big festivities. We have made some amazing friends that we are sailing with and we both cannot wait to see them again, hang out, sit on the beach at Castaway Cay (2 times in 4 days) and drink umbrella drinks, go banana boating, take the Eco tour, watch Ducky Williams draw, hear Jodi Benson sing in person and just enjoy the WONDER of it all.

This process seems so long for so many of us, but I have enjoyed it each step of the way and the next 4 weeks are going to be a big party!

We leave Saturday morning to head to North Carolina to see Matt's family for the weekend so I can meet everyone who can't come and celebrate his birthday with all of them.

Next weekend I head to Chicago for a final dress fitting, to hang out with my sister and spend some time with some very very good friends from college who are mostly all coming to the wedding - so awesome.

Oh my goodness! This was so nice!

No chat for me again tonight. We are having some friends over for dinner. DD is having a friend sleep over. With only 1 child sometimes you have to bring a buddy over so they can entertain themselves while the adults :drinking1

Lots of wine! Having steak and king crab legs! Plus, brownies and homemade ice cream for desert! My scale will hate me in the morning!

Thanx for the welcome Copper3 and everyone else!

Honestly I have been avoiding this thread because the 18K+ posts is kinda daunting. Sooooo...I just drew a line in the sand (my first post date here) and am going from there. Trying to keep up is a full time job. At least it pays back in ear-to-ear smiles!

Not to sound like a broken record, but if we can come up with a time and place by this weekend i can add it in the newsletter :)
I guess if I got further along in the posts earlier today I would've seen that we were thinking the same thing! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the nice welcome! The pirate night sounds fun. My older DD is going to be Elizabeth Swann for the Halloween party so maybe she could wear that! I guess I'll have to take one last trip to the Disney store and see if they have pirate shirts.

There's so much to pack when you go to WDW, a cruise and a Halloween party!!

Are you going to one of the Halloween parties? We're going Oct 26.

Oh my, I didn't realize that she's the voice of the Little Mermaid. That's so exciting. My little red head will love that and so will my 10 year old. They love that movie. How exciting.

Thanks!

Hi and :welcome: to a fellow Bay Stater! There will be several of us on this cruise. We are also attending the MNSSHP on October 26.

I wanted to eat there because its festive (we have eaten there before 2 other MNSSHPs) but my girls loved Tony's last year so they begged me to go there again. They don't like the LTT food.

I think I'll be canceling my LTT ADR soon. This trip was a surprise up until last week and again my girls told me Tony's, not LTT. The cruise is still a surprise and they won't know until Sunday morning when we're driving there!

That's cool! We did something similar to DS when he turned 10. We kept it a secret until the day before and then told him that he would only hit double digits once so we were going to WDW!!! He was so excited he started to cry!

We will do our best. DW princess: booked the couples massage on CC so I don't think it will be difficult to enjoy it at all.

:)

Let's do a series of "what ifs" this time.

What if you only had one hour in any Disney park. What hour would you spend and what would you do?
My favorite hour would also be during Illuminations. It always reminds me of how fortunate our family is to be able to see such beauty.

What if you only had one hour on Castaway Cay. How would you spend it?
Getting a massage in the open air cabanas.

What if you had the opportunity to go to a Disney park you've never been to before. Which one would you choose?
Disnyland Paris (after going to Clause Monet's Gardens at Giverny).

What if you were given an unlimited fast pass but you could only use it in one park. Which park would you choose?
Epcot.

What if you were given 100 DVC points to any DVC property free of charge (you would have to pay dues). Which property would you pick and why?
OKW--our favorite. Love the Floridian theme that we don't have in PA.

Nice to see some new people joining in. Don't let the past 18,000 posts stop you. Be a part of the next 1000 or so before sailing!

Tonight is Friday night so that means cruise chat. Who is up for going in early in a private room like last week?

I know that many of you like the private room because it doesn't move as fast as the main room and we can talk about this cruise in particular.

If enough people want to I suggest showing up at 8:30 Eastern/7:30 Central in either room 1 or 2 (I'll post what room here on the thread once we are in it).

If there isn't much interest I'll head to the main room. Karen won't be in chat tonight and I'll watch the main room, but only if you guys don't want to get together.

Mary - that sounds good! I'm still getting caught up on the thread but will jump over.

A little early but since someone was in room 1 already I've set up home in room 2.

We live in the Bethany/Tanasborne area. Where abouts are you?

Finally another Oregonian!!! Glad to have you onboard!

What if you only had one hour in any Disney park. What hour would you spend and what would you do? Magic Kingdom - WISHES

What if you only had one hour on Castaway Cay. How would you spend it? relaxing in a hammock

What if you had the opportunity to go to a Disney park you've never been to before. Which one would you choose? I'd choose Disney Paris - DH's choice Hong Kong

What if you were given 100 DVC points to any DVC property free of charge (you would have to pay dues). Which property would you pick and why? Hilton Head

Hi all. Just back from the 11 night on the Wonder and it was awesome. Now at WDW till Sunday.

The changes in dry dock are going to be awesome. Can't wait to get back on in 3 weeks!

Talked to Ducky the last night of the cruise. He said we are NOT getting a litho on the member cruise. He does have something special that DVC had him too, and he said this is not something for our "wall" to hang. Wouldn't tell me anything else except that he was thrilled with the outcome and loved creating this new "gift" for us!

See everyone soon. Once I get back to work next week, I'll start checking the member thread.

Okay! I'm getting excited. I can't wait to see what this is. I'll have to make room for it in my Disney room! No matter what it is, it will have a special place!
